Having experienced nightmares at other dealerships, I was very reluctant to even contact anyone with my interests. My 17 year old car needed to be replaced. Only downside was an employee who evaluated my trade in never returned my keys ( house, office, etc) and after a long afternoon I drove home only to find my key ring was never returned. I had to drive back to dealership. It kind of dampened my day. More
A year & 1/2 ago, our Durango was totaled by a road-raged driver. We loved our Durango; which we had purchased at Dick's Hillsboro Dodge 10 years prior. My husband had been researching buying a Ho road-raged driver. We loved our Durango; which we had purchased at Dick's Hillsboro Dodge 10 years prior. My husband had been researching buying a Honda CRV through Consumer Reports; over the Internet; and through anyone who owned a Honda vehicle regarding longevity; sustainability; overall performance and finally re-sale value. Honda ranked #1 with an A+++++++ rating!!! As we were looking for an AWD vehicle with good mileage and performance we started by looking at the CRV. We took a test drive a year ago and truly loved the way it handled, & how comfortable it was. But the research continued for yet another six + months. Then an advertisement on TV announced that Dick's Hillsboro Dodge had increased their family by adopting a Honda dealership. We hit the door running!! We made an appointment and were assigned to meet with Mike Stager. Mike called, introduced himself and made an appointment based on our availability!! What a Concept!! We drove onto the lot and were greeted at the door with a gracious "Hello" & "How Can We Assist You? " This appointment time was at night and they still rolled out the Red Carpet!! We spoke with Mike; were treated to a Coke and our discussion began. Mike was "Extremely Informative", answered all of our questions, and took my husband for a test drive that evening. After the test drive, Mike again reviewed all of the options available to us and we were given the pleasure of meeting "Starvin' Marvin"!! He, too, was delightful to speak with and we found we had a "Prowler" friend in common.( In the past, we had also purchased a Prowler Sports Car from Dick's.This individual was a member of the Prowler Group & had purchased his Prowler from "Starvin Marvin " @ xxxxx!! ). It was like a Family Reunion!! After closing down the "Show Room"; we left "Proud Owner's of a Stunning Black Honda CRV EXL with Nav!!" Mike was gracious in allowing us to pick up our new "Family Member" a couple of days later; as we had to get the "Bed Room " ready for its new occupant!! What a "WONDERFUL CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE: NO HIGH PRESSURE: ONLY A DELIGHTFUL EVENING SPENT WITH NEW FOUND FRIENDS!!!!" We will Definitely refer all of our family and friends to xxxxx Hillsboro Honda when they are looking to buy their next vehicle!! And We Will Definetely be Back; if only to Say Hello!! More
I rate my experience with Mike at this dealership a "top notch," because I phoned from out of state interested in a 2008 Acura TL Type S featured on their pre-owned section of their website and reached "top notch," because I phoned from out of state interested in a 2008 Acura TL Type S featured on their pre-owned section of their website and reached a salesman who was unable to be in the office the date I could drive in to inspect the car and Mike reached out to me within 24 hours to organize my visit. On the phone he asked valuable questions that would help him on his end decipher if it was worth the trip; pictures don't say it all you know! Mike followed up a day prior to my travels to reassure me the dealership was excited about my visit. After a professional negotiation, we could not agree upon a price. We agreed to keep in touch in the case the price changed or if the dealership could re-open negotiations. Sure enough, they called not long after and we negotiated a deal in cooperation with Mike's sales colleague Marv right over the phone. I traveled out of state again to Hillsboro to execute the sale; who picked me up in Portland nearby so I did not have 2 cars to contend with? Why Mike Stagers of course! Mike DeSantis in finance drafted my purchase documents and I was done in a snap! I drove home with the car I wanted, the terms I wanted and with a smile on my face because this deal was made with genuinely nice people who thought my satisfaction was #1. I am far away at home now still in disbelief I found the car I wanted; Mike and Marv are 100% responsible. Last but not least, I do have to say Marv reminded me of my most dearest uncle. He was a pleasant comedian and a straight shooter that really knows cars. Just ask him about the original spoked wheels adventure on his collector car! Dick's Auto Group was a joy to buy from. I LOVE MY ACURA GUYS! More
I had one of the worst car purchasing expereinces in my 65 years on the planet. I don't know where to start. John Howell, the salesman in a nutshell was horrendous. I bought a used car that had some service issues that John promised in writing to fix. I purchased the car on a Sunday. On Monday John disappeared. I had to work much too hard "on my own" to get someone to help me. I finally got a call back from service at 5:15 PM that Monday informing me they finally got the go ahead from sales to fix the radio free of charge. John was no help at all. Additionally, i discovered a small windshield crack. I informed John about it and he told me I would have to take it up with the General Sales Manager,Lonnie Burt. I left two voice mail messages with Lonnie without a call back from him. It wasn't until I told the receptionist at the dealership that I wanted to exchange my car for a different car (because that was my only post sale option) that Lonnie contacted me and informed me that he would take care of the winshield as well. In summary, my takeaway from this experience was that Dick's Auto Group wants to sell you a vehicle but has extremely poor customer service and follow-through post sale. I feel exhausted from this experience and will never buy another vehicle from this dealership again. On a positive note, just so you know I am not vindictive, their service department was fantastic. They were the only group at Dick's Auto willing to help me. They were courteous and helpful. Their service people were fantastic. More
The overall experience was good. Spent over 10 hours there to make this deal work. I think people did try to speed up the process, but the process took longer than expected. The sales manager agreed to take my wife and I home. Robbie stayed with us all day to make sure we were taken care of. He then drove us home after the deal was over. Much appreciated. I wlll buy my next car from here for sure. More
Since I moved to Oregon, 5 years ago, I've brought my 2001 Honda Accord to Larry Miller Honda for service. I brought my car in with some trepidation. I had an overwhelmingly positive experience!!! Zeb Stern took GREAT care of me and my car. I thought I needed new sway bushings. Turns out I needed a different part - one support was completely worn out. Zeb was empowered to make the choice to honor the quote given to me by previous management. I also needed an oil change and Zeb was able to make it happen in record time during the same visit! While I waited for my car to be serviced, Marv Herr and I had a nice chat about the new hybrid Accord. There was NO HARD SELLING! Marv and I had a fun talk, swapped some stories, and then he left me alone! No pressure - that was cool. I highly recommend the service at Dick's Hillsboro Honda. Thanks Zeb for awesome service. More
