My experience with this dealer started about 3 months ago. I had filled out one of those online applications for funding and was initially contacted by a different dealership, in a different city. That d ago. I had filled out one of those online applications for funding and was initially contacted by a different dealership, in a different city. That dealer didn't have anything on their lot that was in my price range, so I just didn't continue. A few days later I was contacted by a salesman at Hillsoboro Honda. He was nice, but persistent. Yes, I did get multiple calls and loads of emails. Yes, that was annoying - but that's pretty typical in this day and age. I could have opted out or unsubscribed, but I didn't. I spoke with Salesman #1 and picked out a strong possibility for a vehicle - I have some special needs and have to have a vehicle that has certain specs for me to drive it. That particular vehicle was in line to be serviced (recall) and it was taking a while to get done. During that waiting time, I was contacted periodically by the salesman to verify my continued interest and also to present me with some other possibilities. At one point the salesman thought the car was done and ready to be sold, when it actually wasn't - a miscommunication. I got pretty frustrated that it was taking so long, and that miscommunication made me feel that I was being jerked around. Now, here's where the 5 star review comes from: I called the dealership and wanted to know what was happening. I was connected to the GM, Brad. Brad was awesome! He listened, he apologized, and he called the shop to find out what the deal was. He called me back, and explained the situation and reassured me that I was still good to go. The next call I received was from Alex (salesman #2). I explained what was going on to Alex, what my special needs were, and we discussed the car I was interested in. I told him I would be in Portland in a week or so and I would stop by when I had time. I went in and the car was there and looking good...but, although the specs said it would work, it didn't. Alex brought around this Kia Soul, which was higher priced than the other one, but had similar specs. It worked! We attempted to finalize the financials that day, but, with the car being higher priced than the other one, it just wasn't coming together. I left feeling pretty dejected. 2 days later, Alex called me back and said they had the financing figured out. I went in the next morning - and left with my new 2019 Kia Soul. Here's the deal: I have special needs AND I have limited income and resources. This dealership went above and beyond to get me into a vehicle that meets my needs, with a payment I can handle. The vehicle is great, but it's a tool. It's the people who count. Alex is an awesome young man who was definitely raised right and it shows. Brad was excellent to work with and listened to me and didn't treat me as unworthy - as so many people do when dealing with people of limited means & special needs. I highly recommend Hillsboro Honda! More
Trust issues! They cannot be trusted with anything they say. Make sure you record them or take it in writing from them about every freaking thing they say. The They cannot be trusted with anything they say. Make sure you record them or take it in writing from them about every freaking thing they say. They promised to deliver the second key to my car as it was in the xxxxx Hyundai outlet and they were too short staffed to get it. I insisted on collecting it myself from the Hyundai outlet to which they assured me and had my trust by showing they wanted it hassle free so they would just send it via post to me. I have been calling them multiple times to get an update on this but to no vain. They just keep going in circles and mincing around words. I have not seen a business as unprofessional and untrustworthy as this. Please beware of their promises - they are just unprofessional! I am so disappointed with my purchase with them. I wish they understand the value of trust and their word in the market. More
Worst experience, shouldn't be surprised since their salesmen come off as stereotypical used car salesmen who just want to rip you off. I inquired about purchasing a new '23 Honda Pilot. Immediately, salesmen come off as stereotypical used car salesmen who just want to rip you off. I inquired about purchasing a new '23 Honda Pilot. Immediately, I received a text message from Val and an email from J. Kimmel. Of note, it was like communicating in a good cop bad cop scenario. Val and I agreed to on a price and he guaranteed there was a car available. I text Val on the way to the dealership, and agreed that he would be the point person for the sale and to get my car appraised for trade.. Surprise when I arrived, Val was busy so Jimmy who was conveniently waiting at the door welcomed me in. He sat me down to inform me that the Pilot was just sold. He offered me a chance to put money down to reserve the next one coming in but the Pilot wouldn't be available for at least 45 days. Then he went on to say that there were no managers available to appraise my trade in and that it would be at the least, a 2 hour wait. Mind you, all the managers are sitting in the office behind their nice glass walls. Lesson learned and revealed by the car sale men: 1. They need people to walk in the door, so they will do anything to get people to come in. 2. The advertise cars especially new cars tend to not actually be in stock. 3. They want to lock you down to pay to reserve a car that isn't on the lot, and they have no timeline to get in stock. 4. This is the clincher, Jimmy K says that all lots, with the exception of theirs is looking to get the highest bidder to purchase their vehicles..... Yet here we are, car was sold before I got there and no sign of Val. If you want enjoy the xx song and dance and would like to get ripped off, go to this dealership. More
bad management, they offered to buy my car and promised when we made the deal that a check could be overnighted. This was the core agreement and once they had my signature they failed to deliver the check when we made the deal that a check could be overnighted. This was the core agreement and once they had my signature they failed to deliver the check on the agreed day. So I called and they told me, very defensively, that they don’t send overnight checks. When I asked why I had been misled, they told me that I hadn’t been and that I had simply misunderstood… even though they were not part of the conversation and I had the agreement in writing. Evil company. I hope they fail. More
I purchased a 2022 Honda CR-V and traded in my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The CR-V was on order, they too 2 1/2 months to payoff my jeep, They immediately put it on their used car lot and I had to make 2 ad Grand Cherokee. The CR-V was on order, they too 2 1/2 months to payoff my jeep, They immediately put it on their used car lot and I had to make 2 additional payments and cover it on my insurance because I was still the legal owner and had it financed. When they finally paid it off (after several calls from me which they stopped taking and would hang up on me or put me on hold and not pick up, they called my bank for a new payoff figure and paid less than what was on my contract. It took me 6 weeks and 3 separate checks to get close to what they owed me. They never did pay me for the loan interest or the car insurance that I am still out of pocket. Now I just took the CR-V for the first service, I requested the scheduled maintenance contract and paid about 3900$ for it when I bought the car. They offered an extended warranty and I declined because it was a brand new car and my bank offers the same thing for 1900$ with a 0 deductible. When I got my oil changed the service department told me that they wrote my service contract as a mechanical one with a 200$ deductible. I explained that it was written incorrectly. Of course I was going to have to call the finance department. Gmy first phone call I spoke to the finance dept,he said he could prorate it and deduct a year off it since I've had it a year. I told him first I would like to know how much the scheduled maintenance contract is and I would like to know what it's going to take to switch it over if I did pay for it. I explained I wouldn't buy an extended warranty on a brand new car when it's already covered under warranty. He said he needed to speak to the General Manager and call me back. That was 4 more phone calls that I've made trying to reach someone and leaving messages and 14 days ago. I regretted ever stepping into that showroom last year when my bank and I were trying to get them to pay for the jeep they bought from me and sold to someone else. My bank could NOT BELIEVE THEY SHORTED ME when the finally did pay off my car. I pre-qualified with my bank (credit union) so I could finance with a program they are a part of and they purposely did not send my credit application to my bank and financed me with a different Credit Union so they could get away with not paying for my jeep and collecting the money for the CR-V. Not bad for them to have almost 30,000 interest free and no payments for almost 90 days plus the money from the CR-V and plus another 30K from selling the Jeep to someone else. I'm sure someone there was very happy and made lots of money. I'm still out money from my jeep, out close to 4000$ on a service Maintenance contract that is worthless and there isn't one person there that will return a phone call. I don't even like the vehicle anymore, it brings up bad feelings and emotions. I am a busy person, I hate nothing more than wasting time and this entire venture has been a bottomless pit of wasted time! GO BACK ITS A TRAP, SPARE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION, ANXIETY, IT'S A WASTE OF TIME, MONEY, AND EFFORT! Jackie Brangham March 19, 2023 More
My wife and I were looking for a good used car for our second vehicle, and saw a 2013 Subaru Outback described at Dick's in an online ad. We phoned and talked to Alex who told us the car's details, sent u second vehicle, and saw a 2013 Subaru Outback described at Dick's in an online ad. We phoned and talked to Alex who told us the car's details, sent us a video, and organized us to visit the following day. Alex was off that day but the dealership had Austin lined up to help when we arrived. We saw the car, had a test drive, and liked it. However, it was a very recent acquisition for them so they were not able to let it go until it had been detailed and serviced. Our home is at least 100 miles from Hillsboro, and Austin immediately said he would deliver it when it was ready. We completed the paperwork and left for home. True to his word, Austin delivered the car two days later, and Alex came with him to get him home. We could not have been more pleased with the way we were treated by both salesmen, and the dealership generally. They have an efficient system that has done away with the Business Office/Finance Office nonsense, and the sales people provide a more personal service administering all the customer interactions. Austin and Alex were personable and genuinely interested in serving our needs as a priority. We warmly recommend Dick's Honda and will not hesitate to use them again More

It seemed so much more seamless compared to every other time we’ve shopped for our Honda vehicles over this past decade and a half. He was so attentive, listened to our wants and needs, approached us with great personality and patience, and really felt comfortable and confident we were working with the right person as soon as we sat with him. We preordered our 2023 Odyssey with him and he kept us updated on delivery and the details of the purchase in a no-nonsense fashion making it super easy to decide on how we would proceed even though the delivery was a few months away. We finally received it with all our options available and we couldn’t be happier. Jimmy, you’re the best and you’ve found life-long customers. Thank you, Jimmy K and Dick’s Hillsboro Honda!!! More

I went for an oil change and when I left and drove home about 40 mins in all my lights came on. Such as tire pressure etc. I called them and they told me to drive all the way back to turn them off. Once I about 40 mins in all my lights came on. Such as tire pressure etc. I called them and they told me to drive all the way back to turn them off. Once I got there they offered a free oil change for my next one for all the trouble. Today I went in for my “free” oil change and they couldn’t find the coupon that they offered me. They said no, you have to pay. Already annoyed at their lack of detail I handed them a $100 for my oil change and they didn’t have any change. They told me I had to go out and find some change. I did. And when I got back took my car, 2 blocks down the lights came back on. This is a horrible terrible service place for your cars. I’m never coming back here. And I will leave this review on all platforms because this is NOT okay. I don’t recommend this place. More
