I have, in the past, purchased a Chevrolet from this dealer. In my lastest quest to buy a new Camero, I told the sales person he would need to earn my business with a low price. Long story short. They put the wrong oil filter on my vehicle the day before my vacation. Oil leaked out onto the Kennedy Expressway. The towing company they use didn't want to deal with traffic. They got it to me next day after lunch. Vacation travel plans delayed about 1/2 day. Emailed Service Mgr, no response. I'd stay away from their service dept. By the way, the oil change that they did wrong took 1.5 hours and some grease ball got my interior dirty. I also asked them to look at a leak I had in one of the tires, couldn't find it. By some miracle I guess, they were able to find it the next day. Guessing the initial person had no clue??? More

We were attracted to this dealership from our home town in southwestern McHenry County from an auto listing found on Autotrader.com. We spent several weeks recently looking throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin for a certified vehicle to replace our older 2001 Suburban. Scott and his support staff were very professional in their approach to selling us this vehicle. We never felt pressured throughout the process in spite of my persistance in seeking the best possible deal through our negotiatiations.I was a little disappointed that we were unable to get what I had anticipated for our trade-in, but that was overcome by the the lower than expected fixed interest financing that we were able to secure through the dealership. The only misgiving that we had was that of the lengthy amount of time it took to consummate the deal from the time we entered the doors until it took for us to drive off with our new car (5 hours). This was largely due to a particularly busy Saturday in the sales room and having only one business manager to process all the tranactions of the day. However, the business manager on staff, Tony Hay, was very delightful, thorough, and proficient in how he processed our sale. As a consolation, our saleman treated us to lunch that was brought in for employees and customers.Our experience at Wickstrom was pleasant and I would encourage anyone else to trade with them. (This was a pleasant surprise) We were not financing the vehicle, but JT, who processed us thru the paperwork was wonderful as well. How surprised I was that we actually received our new license plates on the spot! It has been a long time since I have purchased a vehicle. I remember when you had to wait for the plates to come in the mail. LOL This was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had. I cannot tell you how nervous I was when going to a dealer.
