We took it to Auto Pros (where we purchased the vehicle) and they suggested we take it to a Nissan dealership, because they didn't have the part handy to fix the problem. We took our vehicle to this Nissan dealership, and they charged us $100 just to look at the car, and another $300 to fix the sensor. There had been a 'OCS Customer Service Initiative' for this specific problem, and when I contacted corporate about why I was charged when it should've been covered, they told me they weren't going to pay for it. I had to use my rent money to cover this unnecessary expense on a vehicle I purchased in the hopes that it wouldn't need any major work since it's a 2015. I will NEVER buy another Nissan again! I wish I could go back and choose any other brand. The more I research problems with Nissan, the more upset I get. Seems like Nissan is just a cheap brand that ends up costing its customers loads of money for malfunctions that aren't their fault! More

I got my I purchased a 2014 Nissan Altima from their St Andrews location and the screw on the brake light that is located on my rear spoiler came out. I got my car serviced 3 previous occasions and told them about the missing screw and they said its a simple fix, and they can take care of it while they were performing the oil change, Screw still missing. So I actually called up there in regards to them not fixing it and they say bring it back, so I do that and they say it will cost me over $100 to replace the screw because they would have to remove the spoiler to do so! You mean to tell me you have a WHOLE service dept and do not own a right angle screwdriver or something to replace the screw with??? That the manufacturers placed a light on a spoiler and didn't create a way to fix problems with that light without having to remove the whole spoiler?? Give me a break!! More

PAID $123.81 FOR SCAN AND DIAGNOSTIC AND GOT NOTHING!! Before I took my car in for a recall and to scan computer/ECU I had a mobile mechanic to scan it for FREE. The only code on screen was an IAC Valv Before I took my car in for a recall and to scan computer/ECU I had a mobile mechanic to scan it for FREE. The only code on screen was an IAC Valve. I also spoke to a guy at dealer days before I brought my car in that told me he would charge $90. So I decided to let dealer do recall (free) and scan (was $90 on phone $123.81 in office) They stated that they could not scan car for codes because of an unexplained issue with the ECU. They also stated that they checked the transmission and it needed to be replaced but did not explain why... I left my vehicle with them for 2-3 days. I spoke to Assistant and Service Managers but all they can say is that the paperwork says that I had a problem with car slipping when driving around 18-20 MPH. If that was my only problem then why would I bring my car to you for the service guy to tell me the same thing? So, I have no paperwork with codes which is the reason why I let them look at my car. A few days after I left dealer I had mechanic to scan vehicle again ($35) and the same code for IAC Valve is on screen. I put my trust into an alleged reliable dealer for them to tell me nothing when I could have gone to Auto Zone and had it scanned for FREE!! More
Absolutely Stay Away These people are completely clueless!! Please stay away from them. I've never in my life had such a bad experience at a Nissan dealership. My teenage These people are completely clueless!! Please stay away from them. I've never in my life had such a bad experience at a Nissan dealership. My teenage son has more knowledge of what's wrong with a vehicle than this entire service staff. I wouldn't take a rock to them for service or fixing. They should be put completely out of business. The only thing keeping me with Nissan is I've owned them for 15 years now and know that they are great cars. Nevertheless, the workers in this service department are as clueless as they come. I should have known better when I was told the repairman wanted to drive my car home overnight!!! I've never in my life heard anything like that. WTH!! Sounds like he needs a car himself or a bus pass. More

According to Mark, the cluster which is the sending unit and sensor has been fixed twice by the same mechanic. Really & it's still messing up ? I then take my car for the recommended 30000 service, since then, my gas mileage has been less per fill up. Jud Smith said my car was road tested & should get 418 per fill up because it has an 15.8 tank with 26mpg & that he was embarrassed that he had to go show the service dept about my car & told me that if my fuel light should come on around 388 miles, if it comes on before that, bring the car back. The fuel light comes on at 341 miles, I make an appt, Damon the service manager, calls me 9 minutes later & sais everything is fine with my car. He also tells me that I may be just paying more attention to this now & that Jud Smith has told me inaccurate information. I speak to Jud that day & ask him if they told him how when they car won't hold anymore gas, but the fuel gauge only goes to 3/4 full ? He said no, he then said to keep one more gas receipt & if this happens bring it back to him. I have been up there 3 times, changed gas stations & gas companies (shell, bp). I now don't know when my car will run out of gas & am saving up to have another mechanic look at it. The car's still under warranty & Dick Smith has been paid every time. They also gave me back my remotes that weren't working & only 1 works now. This is my 3rd & last car to purchase from Dick Smith Nissan ! More

Didn't hear anything from them so I called to get an update around 2pm. Mark who was the service person tole me they were still checking it out and they would need to take it out one more time once it got warmer. I told him ok and while the vehicle was there go ahead and do the oil change. The mileage on my car was 54,675 mile when I took it with a half tank of gas and 221 miles til empty. When I picked my vehicle up at 6pm the same day, it had 54,789 and the gas light was on. They gave me my car back with the has light on. Then to top it off when they did my oil change, they did it at 54,700 according to the sticker than drove another 89 miles. When i questioned them about it they tried to talk to me like im stupid and say they didnt drive after they did the oil change but the proof is on the sticker. He than tried to say it was an error... My 2002 Nissan Altima, 128K miles, broke down north of Columbia and showed all the signs of a bad head gasket. Not living in the area, I was at the mercy of having it towed and chose the closest Nissan d Columbia and showed all the signs of a bad head gasket. Not living in the area, I was at the mercy of having it towed and chose the closest Nissan dealership, thinking they would have the parts and expertise to fix my car. I explained all my vehicle's extensive preventative maintenance to James at the service center. The service center mechanics ran a compression test and from that alone determined the only fix was to put in a refurbished engine for $5,600 (more than the KBB of the car itself). When I asked them to perform the head gasket maintenance, they told me no. Are their mechanics incapable of doing this work, or are they just in the business of ripping off single women? I didn't appreciate being treated like a car idiot. Since they wouldn't help, I had to hire someone in Charleston to go pick up my car and tow it back...they were willing to replace the gasket as I asked. More
