2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Panoramic Sunroof Rattle Since about 2000 miles we developed a worsening rattle that was emanating from the panoramic sunroof. It was just getting louder and louder over time Since about 2000 miles we developed a worsening rattle that was emanating from the panoramic sunroof. It was just getting louder and louder over time. The first time we brought it about a month ago Scott Combs (Service Manager) did just the basic to see if that would fix it. Basically they greased up the sunroof mechanism to see if that would quiet down the rattle. It didn't work. Scott had mentioned this problem had surfaced many times before and a "Star" Case was already on the books for this issue. A Star Case is when a dealership service manager works directly with an FCA engineer on the problem at hand. Scott told me that he knew what needed to be done now and he ordered the parts ASAP. A week later I brought the Jeep in for repair. In the meantime, Dick Scott provided me with a 2019 Ram Laramie to drive while our 11 month old Jeep was behind repaired. A nice touch. Picked up the Jeep a day and a half later and we don't hear the sunroof rattle anymore. The Jeep is back to sounding like it did when we first leased it. I think they could be a little more thourough I took my car in for an oil change and the recommended fuel service by the dealership. I got both of these services done. They did ask if i wanted my tires rotated and I did decline this time. When we were told our vehicle was ready we went to the service counter and was walked to the cashier counter. I believe that they should have gone over everything that was done on my vehicle. They did the multi point inspection and I think that should have been gone over with me. I was not told of anything else that would need to be done in the future. I feel like they were in a hurry. When I was checking in to the service area I had taken a video of my car starting roughly sometimes and showed it to the service ad visor. He watched the video but they said they cannot do anything about this until it does it at the dealership. This is the 3rd time I have mentioned this while bringing my car in. I choose to drive the sometimes 1 1/2 hour drive for service to Dick Scott Fowlerville. The vehicle is 4 years old and I would like this problem taken care of! The cashier who took care of us was wonderful as always! More
