Dear Jll: I am sorry you were unsatisfied with your experience at our dealership. I’m not sure how the misunderstanding occurred as a review of your file shows you received a Trade-in Vehicle Evaluation Sheet which clearly shows the amount we were willing to allow for your vehicle. Although you also received a page of handwritten notes with calculations and a notation indicating “if xtra 500,” the final cost of the vehicle is clearly displayed and circled several times. As Pre-owned Sales Manager at Dick Scott Motor Mall, I was personally involved with your deal negotiation and trade appraisal. Although I am aware that you were not 100% happy with your trade offer, you were advised that the amount on the evaluation form was the best we could do. Neither Tom nor I was aware of any misunderstanding about the agreed upon purchase price until you arrived to sign the paperwork. Dick Scott Motor Mall has been doing business in the Folwerville area for over 20 years. We pride ourselves on the reputation we’ve built for providing quality vehicles at fair prices. As part of our process, our business manger goes over every piece of paperwork pertaining to each deal with every customer. This includes the purchase agreement, which clearly states the agreed upon price as well as any discounts/trades and the final purchase price. With regard to the free trial of Sirius Radio, this is a new program we are offering on our pre-owned vehicles. I apologize if you feel your salesman did not clarify the program; however, the brochure he provided explains it in detail and indicates the trial is for a 3-month period.
