This is our second purchase from Tom who is always candid in answering our inquiries. He's also extremely helpful in interpreting our desires into realistic choices of a vehicle and options. Tom is knowledgeable on more topics than automobiles and is as interested in conversing about us as people not just customers. Oh, and he tosses in enough humor to make the encounter pressure free and comfortable. After our decisions are made, Tom wastes none of our time by quickly prepping our choice for us to drive away soon after Ed Miller expedites the paperwork processing. Though not for troublesome deficiencies on our 1st vehicle from Dick Scott Motor Mall, the Service Department was always friendly, thorough and quick in all maintenance appointments we made with them. Add it all up...We won't go elsewhere to get our next van. More

Like politicians and open-mouthed gum chewers, high-pressure sales tactics rank high on my list of major irritants. I am a very informed and well-prepared consumer, knowledgeable about automobiles in general, and more than willing to negotiate aggressively. Also, I am intimately familiar with the usual tricks of the trade, various sales tactics and psychological ploys, and other shenanigans some of the less-scrupulous salespeople try to pull. I make these things very clear right up front, and request that the or she not play games. It's a sure way to make we walk out the door, but sad to say, it seems to be commonplace. It's no wonder car salesmen get a bad rap as smarmy hucksters. I am happy to say that my experience with Dick Scott Motor Mall was none of those things. Based on other Internet reviews, I contacted Sales Manager Don Harley and laid everything out (I was looking at a new Ram 1500). Don was exceptionally accommodating; despite the fact that I live over 30 miles from the dealership, he offered to have a vehicle brought to me to test drive if it was more convenient than going there. When I explained that I had a trade-in, he asked me to send pictures of the vehicle to give me a ballpark value estimate. The next day he emailed me back, and to my surprise, his offer was excellent. More surprisingly, he offered over $1500 dollars more for my trade-in than a local Lansing Ford dealership, and that was for trading in TWO vehicles (I am not making this up). I told him I'd be over within a few days to check things out. You know how it is to walk into a place and get that instant "vibe?" I don't know about you, but most car dealerships give me an instant uncomfortable, almost creepy feeling. Employees are quiet, even sullen. Not much humor and an air of unfriendliness ranging from apathy to mild disdain. Not so with Dick Scott Motor Mall. I was immediately impressed walking into the place. The atmosphere was upbeat and friendly. Employees were smiling and joking around. You can tell a lot about an organization's culture by sitting back and observing its personnel and how they interact with not only the customers, but each other. My impression throughout was that Dick Scott's employees actually like being there. Due to a scheduling conflict, Don wasn't able to meet with me personally, but he put me in touch with Nelson Cypher. Nelson was great. He was straightforward, honest, and completely transparent. He laid out all the numbers, broken down exactly as I wanted. No games, no "what do you want your payment to be?" or "I'll have to clear that with my sales manager" baloney. Nelson was also extremely knowledgeable about the Ram, which isn't something I can say about a lot of other salespeople. He took the time to go over buying and leasing options, explaining the pros and cons of each. Nelson knew that I knew what I was doing, but I get the impression that even the most naive, inexperienced car shopper would be treated with the same level of respect I received. Needless to say, a couple days later I drove off the lot with a nice Ram 1500 Big Horn (and yeah, it's got a Hemi). My entire experience was top-notch, maybe the best I've experienced in all my years of buying cars. If I had to choose one word to describe it, I would say "transparent." That's a real compliment in an industry where sneakiness and obfuscation seems to be the norm. I haven't had any service done yet, but if their service department is as good as their sales, I have little doubt it will achieve the same high standards. I recommend these folks without reservation and intend to do business with them in the future. More

Great Experience! I was recently working a salesman in my area looking for a specific vehicle he was from the dealership Jim Riehls Chrysler Jeep in Warren MI ! He said he found the Jeep that I had wanted but was unable to get it transferred to the dealership as it had been sold. The Jeep was located at a dealership in Fowlerville MI. I was very disappointed and went to look on the internet to find out what dealership was in Fowlerville MI. It was Dick Scott Motor Mall. So then I went to the internet and checked their inventory and it said that the Jeep I wanted was still available! We then got the phone number and called the Dick Scott Dealership to inquire if the Jeep was in fact available to be purchased. We first spoke with Ashley and she said it was available, We asked if it was in the automatic and she said yes. We then told her the story of the other dealership and what had happened to us. She then told us she will call right back then we received a phone call from our now salesman Mitchell. He had asked what was going on we told him the story he said well things happen but the Jeep in question is available! We said we would be the next day to purchase it. He asked us to leave a deposit over the phone we could not do that at that time. We gave all of our info over the phone got approved financing within minutes then we did go the next morning to purchase the Jeep. The whole team at Dick Scott Motor Mall in Fowlerville are all just great. We had a few things done so could not take delivery the day we purchased it.They did everything we needed done the it was delivered to us the next day! It was about 80 miles one way! After many months of trying to decide on a vehicle, my husband and I went in to compare the 2 vehicles I was looking at. We didn't actually buy a vehicle the day we went in to compare. Mark was very friendly and respectful during the whole process. The next day I got back on their website and seen where they was getting in a black jeep grand cherokee, called Mark up and he asked us to come in. We went back to the dealership to talk numbers and have my vehicle appraised, well on our drive back to the dealership the transit truck had just dropped off a truck load of new vehicles. The black one I originally wanted was there he just needed to locate it. while he was looking for the black one, I found a white one that I fell in love with. So we went inside and started the paper work on the white one, was a really friendly and fast process. The sales guys in the office gave our son cupcakes, a slice of chocolate cake and even offered him coffee. lol, like I said very friendly place to buy from. After the process of buying the vehicle was over and they prepared my vehicle for me, Mark came out and showed me how to work all the neat gadgets that came with the vehicle. Being from out of state, Mark made the whole buying process easy for us. Before, I had dealerships not want to sell to me because I am from Louisiana.
