Unfortunately there are circumstances from time to time when a dealership is unable to verify a customer's concern. We do everything we can in attempts to duplicate conditions. Once a concern is duplicated or reproduced then the service technician can diagnose and/or repair the root cause. Allan is an exceptional service writer with 20+ years of experience. He is very knowledgeable and does a thorough job in getting details from the customer which are passed along to the technician; the technician then works with the information to duplicate the concen. I am sorry we were unable to verify the condition when it was with us for service. We would be more than happy to readdress the concern with you... your diagnosis fee has already been paid and it would not cost any more money to figure out what is going on. Should the problem be replicated then we would advise you of the cause and give you the cost to repair. The $79.95 you have already paid out-of-pocket would be applied toward the repair cost just like it would have been had we discovered the problem on the first visit. Thank you for responding via Dealerrater.com; although this is a negative review I can still appreciate your concern and comments. At the service department level within the dealership network we are obligated to follow certain policy and proceedures. Like any business we have certain guidlines to follow. For instance brake pads and rotors are only covered by Chrysler for the 1st 12 thousand miles or 12 months; whichever expires first. In your case the service writer was accurate to point out the extended warranty on the front pads and rotors of this particular year and model; with you, the customer, needing to pay a $100.00 deductable. The diagnosis fee you paid was for a complete and thorough brake inspection including cleaning and adjusting the rear brakes. Any price we quoted for you initially would have been for OEM (original equipment from the manufacturer). OEM is more costly than aftermarket pricing. We do offer aftermarket parts. Aftermarket choices are available to us through a supplier. It sounds like the writer could have been more empathetic to your situation and/or offered you alternative solutions like aftermarket pricing. For this I do apologize. We do appreciate your business.
