Seemingly my van may possibly infected with gremlins, hoping it is not a Lemon. I have 3 - 2013 Dodge Grand Caravans in NJ and none have had these issues, hoping for the best. Keep up the Improvements at hoping it is not a Lemon. I have 3 - 2013 Dodge Grand Caravans in NJ and none have had these issues, hoping for the best. Keep up the Improvements at Dick Scott Dodge/Jeep, I like what has been done so far! P.S. Your place doesn't wash vehicles any longer, this is my 3rd Grand Caravan I purchased from Dick Scott, though I have been away with the Army, it was a thing that was done before..... More
After trading in my charger for a Jeep Wrangler this is the first visit for service. When I bought the Jeep we had purchased an oil change deal from your dealership. At the signing for the new Jeep I was the first visit for service. When I bought the Jeep we had purchased an oil change deal from your dealership. At the signing for the new Jeep I was assured that this would be transferred to the Jeep. Today I was told that it could not, I am very mad about this and feel as though I was ripped off. More
Great advice from Jim Detzel, appreciated the guidance provided regarding repair of my PT Cruiser... very helpful, courteous and friendly and he also offered a full explanation of what was going on. Also provided regarding repair of my PT Cruiser... very helpful, courteous and friendly and he also offered a full explanation of what was going on. Also appreciated the apology call when a mishap occured - it is what I would have exprected from a service provider, and Jim didn't let Chryler down. On the down side, I didn't always receive follow up phone calls and this would be a move to improve the service offered. Also, very annoying is the long drawn out "... welcome to Chrysler .... bla bla bla.... how may I direct your call?".... would prefer a shorter receptionist greating so I could just get to the point. All in all I have been servicing my vehicle at Dick Scott for a number of years and will continue to do so. More
June 2012-driver's carpet and front passenger carpet soaking wet. Service said they could not find problem. Aug. 2012-same problem, this time I marked where water coming in from. They said problem was f soaking wet. Service said they could not find problem. Aug. 2012-same problem, this time I marked where water coming in from. They said problem was factory 'flexible' sunroof drain tubes and replaced with rigid ones. 7/3/2013-front passenger carpet soaked. Dealer could not 'duplicate' problem, despite my telling them that water coming in same as when drain tubes were clogged, so no fix. 7/16/13=passenger side soaked again. apparently Mother Nature is better at 'duplicating' problem than technicians. Now I will need to replace carpet that has been soaked three times plus find someone who can fix the problem for good. Will steer all my family, friends, coworkers and strangers away from Dick Scott Dodge Plymouth via Twitter, forums, etc... 8/1/13: After this post I was contacted by Joe Prokes asking for another opportunity to fix my leak. I dropped my car off there and after 4 days, I received a call that the cause of the leak was a crack in the sunroof troth (trough) which would cost me $1,379 to repair. The sunroof option, at purchase was $775. I chose to not have the work done at that dealership as I was not trusting of their diagnosis of the leak. I later discovered that the leak was actually coming from the 'rain channel' that runs between the door and the part of the roof that is adjacent to the sunroof and not the front and rear sunroof drain hoses that I paid $393.63 to repair/replace or the sunroof trough that would have cost me $1,379. I was now suspicious about that previous front and rear drain hose replacement and did some research. I found Service Bulletin #23-005-08 instructing repair of rear drain hoses by installing convoluted tubing over the portion that is in the trunk. I examined my rear drain hoses in the trunk and there was no convoluted tubing installed over them. I will be installing this fix myself and will find a knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanic to repair the 'rain channel'. Unless you like throwing your money away, I recommend you avoid Dick Scott Dodge in Plymouth for any service. More
My recent oil change experience was excellent. Service Advisor Dick Detzel, was very professional and the service was completed quickly. However, I have a major complaint from a recent experience. I have Advisor Dick Detzel, was very professional and the service was completed quickly. However, I have a major complaint from a recent experience. I have a 2012 Chrysler T&C. (purchased from Dick Scott). I recently received the letter from Chrysler regarding updating the software on the PowerTrain. I called your service dept on Feb 15 to schedule an appointment. I couldn't get through to an Advisor, but left a voice message with my phone # explaining the reason for the call. I did not receive a call back, so I called again on Sat a.m., Feb 16. Again, I left the same message. I have no idea which Service Advisors I left messages with. When I had not received a message return by Monday afternoon, I called Suburban CJ and was immediately scheduled and had the work done there. I never did recieve a call back from Dick Scott. I have been going to you for service for years, and this is my first unsatisfactory experience. Ted Barnhart More
Dealing with the service dept at Dick Scott Jeep can be a very challenging endeavor. Routine "express" oil changes take 45-60 minutes. I have brought my Jeep in twice to get a loud rattle fixed from the very challenging endeavor. Routine "express" oil changes take 45-60 minutes. I have brought my Jeep in twice to get a loud rattle fixed from the instrument panel. The 1st time they removed the dash and added some insulation and assured it was fixed (I don't think a road test was perfomed). Within 1 day the rattle reappeared at the same volume it previously existed. I brought the Jeep back a while later and they refused to diagnose the issue as they could not reproduce the sound in the shop. Rather than perform a road test they gave me my car back and said there was nothing they could do. A friend had the same problem with his Jeep and took it to his dealer in Ann Arbor and was greeted with open arms and informed that other owners had experienced the same problem and that Jeep released a service bulletin to address the problem. This bulletin was published on August 29th, 2012 so I struggle to understand why Dick Scott was not aware of the issue. The repair was made while he waited and he has been rattle free for over a week. I have a 3rd appt booked for next week to get the problem reviewed again. The service bulletin calls for .20 hours for the repair, which would lead one to believe this could be a quick in/out, but once again Dick Scott can not guarantee this and wants the vehicle dropped off so they can take their time. I would expect a customer bringing in a $50K Jeep for the 3rd time for the same issue would receive preferential treatment, but that's not the case with the service dept at Dick Scott. The one and only time I felt like Dick Scott was happy to see me was when I was in the process of buying the Jeep, all subsuquent experiences have been less than positive. I will not purchase another vehicle from Dick Scott. More
I'm always cautious and on guard when I have to visit any auto repair facility. So....... I had a problem with my Jeep Grand Cherokee (was purchased from Dick Scott Dodge) and took it to get looked a any auto repair facility. So....... I had a problem with my Jeep Grand Cherokee (was purchased from Dick Scott Dodge) and took it to get looked at. Bryan Templeton was the service adviser I dealt with and overall he handled things well. He kept me informed and I felt that I was given an honest diagnosis. I had some warranty remaining and it covered the repair. Since I was happy how they handled the warranty repair, I decided to do more business with Dick Scott Dodge and have them perform some preventative maintenance for me and I felt the price was fair. If I need service or preventative maintenance, I will probably visit their Service Dept, again. My experienc with Dick Scott Dodge has been good so far. I will continue to do business with Dick Scott Dodge and the Service Dept unless they give me a reason NOT to do business with them. More
Our van's driver side locks had failed. I brought the van in early Monday morning, 1/28. It was fixed and ready to go in a few hours. I don't like product failures and Chrysler should review the design and quality of the door switch module / parts. More
Brought my 2011 Durango in for oil change and vibration at highway speeds. Thought I had a coupon for a free oil change. Bryan explained about a Valvoline service reminder program I'm signed up for and tha at highway speeds. Thought I had a coupon for a free oil change. Bryan explained about a Valvoline service reminder program I'm signed up for and that the service that would have covered the oil change had already been performed. All was well with that, I finally understood, and I don't think I was a jerk or anything, but Bryan seemed a bit put out, short, and sort of crabby. That is not my usual experience with him, but I certainly felt like I was putting him out. Orher than that, the vibration is gone, my oil changed, and all is well More
