I had been looking for a vehicle for my teenage daughter. I found what I was looking for at Dick Scott. Even though it was an "off brand" - a Ford - the sales person I worked with was friendly and knowledga I found what I was looking for at Dick Scott. When I came to complete the transactiona and take possession of the vehicle, they had discovered on the way to fill the gas tank that the "Check Engine" light came on. They attempted to fix the problem, but were unsuccessful. They had one of their staff drive me home. They next day, they took the vehicle to a Ford dealership. I returned that day, the vehicle fixed and ready to go home. The transaction went smoothly, my salesperson (Amber Quintal) was wonderful and so were all the staff at Dick Scott. I would definately recommend this dealership. More
I don't buy vehicles very often. The last two were an Intrepid and a Ram 1500 bought in 2002. The Ram was purchased with the help of Jim Scales when he was with Joe Ricci Dodge. I kept Jim's phone number all these years because I was so impressed with his direct and honest approach to the the sale; no come-ons, gimmicks or switches. Since 2002 my son has also bought two more new cars from Jim. When the time for a new Charger came it was just a matter of tracking Jim down. Keep in mind the I live in Monroe which has a Dodge dealer of it's own and I'm also close to Toledo. I'd still prefer to drive 40 miles to deal with the right guy. Thanks Jim! The only drawback to this sale was the closing process. First, I hate hand-offs. Jim has handled all the paperwork for us in the past so I know he is perfectly capable. I'm sure the closing process is dealer designed to improve "efficiency"; I just find it irksome. Further, the closing was obviously focused on upselling a warranty program. In and of itself, that is not so bad, but the product was presented almost with the expectation that I would want it unquestionably, without properly comparing the factory warranty commmercial programs and without readily sharing cost details. I had to do considerable probing and prompting to get information that should be an automatic. In the end I bought additional coverage which added more than $2000 to the sale price, but I'm not convinced that was a good idea and I still have a distaste for the way this was handled. Overall, I am pleased with my new car and will return to Dick Scott Dodge and Jim Scales when it comes time to buy a new Ram truck. More
The buying experience was made easy by the dealership employees. Our salesman even pointed out a flaw in our vehicle. So, we weren't able to bring the vehicle home that day. The reason I didn't give a great price rating is that we brought in a Sunday paper with a sale price. We were told that the incentive that brought that price to what it was had expired on Saturday. They did work with us, though, and eventually gave us the extra incentive that had expired. More
I explained what vehicle I wanted and what I needed from the sales staff. They took the time to listen to me, took me seriously, did not try to pressure me in to something I didn't want, and beat the best the sales staff. Everyone was super friendly, and I was always offered water, or coffee. Any time I had to wait, people stopped in to check on me and see if I needed anything. My vehicle was ready on time, all cleaned up, and looked great. Overall it was a very positive experience. More

I'm updating my review due to the fact that I had outstanding service on my last visit to Dick Scott Dodge for an ongoing brake problem that I had multiple visits to the service department for. Whil outstanding service on my last visit to Dick Scott Dodge for an ongoing brake problem that I had multiple visits to the service department for. While it did take months before finally resolving the problem by replacing brake pads, rotors, and actually tearing apart the entire braking system to inspect it, clean it up including a little normal rust that was occuring, and putting it back together, I'm thrilled that this has finally been done and now my personal time won't be taken up so much by Dick Scott service time. I received top-notch service and now Dick Scott Dodge's service department is starting to get my trust back - thank you Joe! More
