Dear cassie-m: Thank you for taking the time to write a review concerning your experience at our dealership. Even though you are encouraging others to "stay away," I appreciate this opportunity to complete the story by providing our side of what occurred. First of all, you did not take delivery of a vehicle from our used car department as indicated (and I’m sorry for that as I would have liked to make a deal). While you were considering the vehicle, you voiced a concern about a "light pulsation" you felt once in a while during a test-drive. Although the vehicle had just passed our safety inspection, I took your concerns seriously and replaced the brakes and tires at your request as a courtesy. In response to direct comments in your review: A) There would be no reason for the engine to be "new" since it is a 2001 model and it was never represented as such. What is true and accurate concerning the engine is that it was swapped out by the original owner a few years back so he could have more power out of the vehicle. Specifically, the original 1.8-liter engine was upgraded to a 5-cylinder turbo engine (an engine that was not available when the vehicle was manufactured in 2001). B) We are under no obligation to change all of the fluids on the vehicle; maintenance is the responsibility of the owner. However, we do change the oil during the inspection process prior to selling the vehicle. Should there be a repair necessary while undergoing the inspection process which requires fluid replacement, then we would change fluids at that time. C) The fact of the matter is that the vehicle you were considering is a "reliable" Audi TT. In fact, in our business it is considered to be a "clean" car, meaning that for its age, condition and mileage, it is in very good shape. Brand new this Audi TT vehicle would run about $50,000; our asking price at the time you were looking at it was $12,900. I would encourage anyone reading this review to check in on this vehicle (if it is still available) and any other used vehicles on our lot.
