We entered Dick Scott Dodge simply to see what our options were for purchasing a new car. We met with Dave and we were sold. Not only did I get a vehicle I wanted, I also got it in my price range. The reason I rated Dick Scott Jeep so high is because of Dave Hamel. I am a returning customer to Dave and when I came in to the dealership he knew who I was, what my preferences are and immediatley started Dave Hamel. I am a returning customer to Dave and when I came in to the dealership he knew who I was, what my preferences are and immediatley started working on finding me the vehicle I wanted. Dave also secured me a fair price for my trade in. I highly recommend Dave Hamel at Dick Scott Jeep! More
While searching for a used vehicle, I can across a 1997 Ford Explorer loaded with under 39,000 miles. Too good to be true, I thought. So I had a friend meet me at the dealership to check this car out. To our surprise, it was solid. Took it for a test drive and it handled beautifully. This was the care I wanted. Anthony was very personable and easy to deal with. Admittedly, I gave a low ball offer just to see how firm the price was. To my dismay, it was very firm. So I left. The next day, I called Anthony and made another offer and he said the bottom line was $5,000. That sealed it. I had my fiance meet me the next day at the dealership so we could finalize the purchase because my credit is in repair at the moment. Try and try as they might, they just couldn't come up with financing terms that were acceptable so we tried our bank one more time. They weren't able to help us favorably either. We went back to the dealership to let them know it didn't appear it was going to happen. Anthony really felt bad because he knew that was "my" car. Two days later, we received a call from Colleen who said she had obtained financing for us from someone else. I have to admit, the deal was amazing. We hurried to the dealership and within an hour we were on our way in "my" car. If not for the diligence from Anthony and Colleen, I may still be looking for a vehicle. But because of them, I have "my" car. Thank you Dick Scott for having the vehicle and a special thank you to Anthony and Colleen for making it mine. More

Worst car shopping experience ever at this dealership.Found car I wanted online, called and asked specific questions regarding condition (pet, smoke odor, dents, dings ect), was told it was in dealership.Found car I wanted online, called and asked specific questions regarding condition (pet, smoke odor, dents, dings ect), was told it was in perfect condition. 2011 Durango, one owner, clean carfax so I took their word. I had asked these specific questions prior to going to see because they are located 3 hrs away, wasn't going to make the drive if there were problems. Car was priced right and based on what they said over the phone I went prepared to buy it, had check from credit union in the purse ready to go. Arrived at dealership on Sat morning, one other buyer on lot looking, walked the lot for over 10 minutes-noone came out, started to head towards trailer and salesman came out when I got to steps, informed him of car I was interested in, he got keys and met me back at car.Did a walk-around and commented that it wasn't as described: there was still pet hair stuck in seats (was told no pet smell and they thoroughly detail cars so no smell would remain if there had been. According to carfax this car had been on lot for over 3 months-wasn't like they just got it in and didn't have time to clean it up). WINDSHIELD WAS CHIPPED AND CRACKED, ding on door and 3 chips in paint on doors. I expressed my concern to him and his reply was "Sounds like you need to buy a new car if your expecting something perfect." Holding back I just replied certainly not but I do expect honesty when I called and asked about these issues specifically. Still what I wanted and figured I would address issues in offer so took for test drive. Service light came on for oil change...I quote online description "Fully serviced and ready to go"-so fair warning as I see they are still posting that on vehicles.Asked for report on work done since they brought in, you would have thought I had asked for world peace because he had to walk to another building to get. Surprise, said oil change was done-so was report fraudulent or did the Dodge certified mechanics not know to reset the service indicator in car? After reviewing, Salesman leaned back in chair and with arms crossed said "So do you want it or not?" Said yes, he remained silent so finally made offer, immediately replied no way, can't do it, I replied well what can you do? He, arms still crossed and leaning back, said "You can pay what we are asking or have a nice trip back to Ohio". I stood up and said too bad, would have liked to give you check ready in my purse, I'm sure I can find someone else who wants it, and left. My offer was only slightly less than sticker and I asked that windshield be repaired (Don't know about Michigan but here its illegal to drive with cracked windshield, I was surprised they even let people test drive with it) and small container of factory matched paint so I could have door chips repaired myself to avoid rust. Funny thing is had I been treated with an ounce of respect I would have paid asking and he could have had the sale. I wouldn't buy from them if it was the steal of the century. More
