Low pressure experience! I had a good experience working with Tara. It was a stressful situation for me mostly because I was trading in a really great car that was hard to par I had a good experience working with Tara. It was a stressful situation for me mostly because I was trading in a really great car that was hard to part with but just wasn't practical for me. Tara & her manager did a good job of not making me feel too pressured. At no point did I feel like just a cartoon-style piece of meat with dollar signs painted on. I know they are there to run a business and make money, but in the end I felt like they worked with my situation, met me halfway and I got a fair deal. Overall I would say the best part of the whole thing was a lack of smarminess and shiftiness one expects walking into a car dealership. I can't vouch for every single person that works at DH, but the people I met were good to deal with. Even the finance guy's persistent extended warranty pitch wasn't excessively obnoxious. So, many thanks for that Tara & Co! More

Terra made the difference! I will admit, I was shopping a few different VW dealers, but Terra was very persistant and extremely helpful. I was very disappointed but Terra quickly found me a car I loved even more and worked very hard to get me the car I wanted in the price range I could afford. turned a screwup into a positive experience I had scheduled an appointment through the vancouver office. Apparently there was a missunderstanding about when I could over there to drop my car off I had scheduled an appointment through the vancouver office. Apparently there was a missunderstanding about when I could over there to drop my car off. Anyway it got screwed up. When I got to the dealership they did not have an appointment for me. They did have an e-mail saying I was bringing my car over. The service person, Tic Hart told me they were booked solid till the next week. He said he would work me in but it would probably take a couple days at least. I left my car that night and Tic called me early the day and said he had gotten my car in and looked at it and told me what was needed. My car was finished that day. I work in sales and customer service so I appreciate the extra level of service given. He did what I preach to other employees. We all make mistakes. What and how we deal with them goes a long way in the customers eyes. Good or bad, it makes a lasting impression. I have a great impression. Ric was very friendly, honest and professional. And he took care of not only a big screwup but turned it around. More

From moment one on the phone, the service agents were professional, organized, polite and efficient. I had an appointment, I knew my Service Manager, the date, time and expected length of my service appointment. My expeirnece at the dealership was just as stellar. Brad was absolutely wonderful to work with, showing a dedication to fixing the issue, calling me back exactly like he said he would and ultimately empathizing with me as a VW customer whose issue was not even resolved by Volkswagen USA Customer Care. I cannot recommend Dick Hannah VW of Portland service department enough. I will drive all the way across town to go here, despite living 2 minutes from another VW dealer. They are THAT good. More
