After negotiating a price, warrranty and other details, I just wanted to get out the door with my car and certainly never return, so to subject myself and my spouse to another car buying experience years later felt like we were walking into a lion's cage holding a pot roast. However, the time spent at Dick Hannah Honda, our dealer of choice was different for us. Yes, we were going through the Costco Auto Program and that in itself is supposed to eliminate the hassle of price juggling. It did, but after meeting the people we met on the sales floor, I want to believe that they would've still made our experience there more than just tolerable whether we went through Costco pricing or not. They were personable, not pushy or aggressive, extremely knowledgeable and very polite. My husband, a retired truck driver and mechanic had seen his share of the inside of car dealerships and sales lots over the last fifty years. He expressed to me as we were concluding our sale, that "this purchase had changed his opinion that there could never be a pleasant car buying experience through a dealership." Knowing my husband as I do, I was surprised to hear this statement coming out of his mouth and to know that I felt the same way! As a final point, let me say that never have we had a salesperson who had better knowledge of our style/model vehicle than did Rachel Trent. She sure knew her product! After our purchase, she asked if we'd like to come back the next day to learn the computerized components? We had time constraints on the day we purchased our vehicle so yes, we would like to come back and the next day, she spent a good deal of time helping us set up and learn how each computerized component inside the vehicle worked. So today I want to say, a big "thank. you' to our outstanding sales person, Rachel Trent at Dick Hannah Honda, and for helping us by making this purchase a pleasant one. More

We have all been thru the gimmicky salesperson techniques at dealerships and prior to calling Dick Hannah my experiences at other dealers was no exception. The one positive I had gained through these other tedious accounts was I had narrowed down my search to a very specific model. Being in deep SW Portland (and a new resident to Portland all together) I really hadn't thought of calling Dick Hannah because they were in Vancouver. As a side note, I was also unaware that Oregon residents still don't pay sales tax when buying a car in Vancouver - just FYI. Thankfully I did call them and I'm ecstatic I got Scott on the phone! After weeks of searching for my ideal 2017 Pilot (White with beige interior - Touring model) he was able to secure one for me in under 15 minutes and all over the phone! It was really incredible actually! All other dealers in the area came up empty handed and basically told me it wasn't gonna happen. The best I was able to find over a two to three week period was a Black on Black Touring model at a dealer more local to me (without naming names because that's just tacky). The amount of disinformation I had received from other dealers is just absolutely absurd! I mean crazytown absurd. Scott just took a credit card number (without charging) and called me when it arrived, we went down over the weekend and picked it up... I mean easy peasy! No xx! Once we got there Scott was courteous, fun, knowledgeable, VERY proficient and very professional. The whole experience was just fluid like and since he was capable of honing in on our needs as a customer we left with a sense of security that not only we had made the right choice but we felt protected with the insurances they offered. Oh and Chris Nelson knows his $&%! Man he was fast! Fast in a good way though, like he knows you have a life outside of buying a car right then. Seemed like a solid guy too, a family man for sure and just down to earth and personable with a good sense of humor. Putting it simply, I just don't think I've ever had this good of an experience buying a car! Thanks for everything Scott! We love our new car! More
