On Friday October 7th(2011),I had a most pleasant car shopping experience with Nick Barnes, who went the extra mile to show me the car I wanted to see, even though it had not gone through the shop. Jake and I started over the phone, he was attentive to my wants in all categories from financing to the leather interior! I bought a car in January from Dick Says Yes and then after an accident, went back in October. I love the service and the personable approach that everyone seems to take. The salesmen there were at the up most professional and courteous. They were just over all a bunch of nice guys. We submitted a request with what we were looking for and our credit info. Nick called us back, and said he could help someone with a mid 500 credit score. Rebuilding credit is long a painful, and we are glad we chose Dick Hannah’s/Dick Says Yes. After talking with Nick, we decided to make the 3 hour drive to Vancouver. Nick made the experience pleasant, we never felt embarrassed or shamed due to our low credit score. He made sure we were taken care from the moment we went to when we drove off. Nick was a pleasure to work with, and would recommend him to my friends and family. We did have an issue with the finance company, but that was due to the information we gave. James Wheeler the sales manager was outstanding. We went the extra mile to make the deal happen, and was a pleasure to work with. We have had the car for 3 three weeks, and we are very happy with it. I went to Dick Says Yes to look at used cars and was helped by Jim. I found a car that I liked, but he refused to come down in price, which was about $500 more than I wanted to spend, but I liked the c helped by Jim. I found a car that I liked, but he refused to come down in price, which was about $500 more than I wanted to spend, but I liked the car, so I agreed on the price. I didn't buy the car that day, but I returned the next day to sign all the paperwork and pick the car up. It was a Kia and overnight I did my research. Jim was trying to sell me a Kia for $500 more than what Dick Hannah Kia was asking for the same car with the same year, mileage, options, etc. Needless to say, I pushed back with this information and they lowered the price. However, once I got the car home I noticed a rock chip on the passenger side of the windshield. I called Dick Says Yes back, Jim wasn't in, it was Labor Day, the service center was closed, I was told to call back the next day. I called the next day, talked to Jim, Jim told me to bring the car by and he would have the service team look at it and if it started to spider, they would fix the chip. I brought the car in, the service team looked at it and they said the windshield would need to be replaced due to spidering. However, I would have to pay for it out of pocket. This is contrary to what Jim told me. I didn't have it fixed. I called Jim the next day and he (the one who told me they would fix it if it started to spider) acted like he didn't know what the policy was. I drove 40 miles there and back and they refused to fix something I missed when I bought the car. Also, after I bought the car, I had a referral card from a friend of mine. When I had the windshield looked at, they said that they wouldn't honor the referral card because you have to present it at the time of purchase. Here two big takeaways about my experience at Dick Says Yes: 1. Before you buy, check the Kelley Blue Book value and their own website for prices. They have 4 computers for use in the lobby they should let you use. They are crooked as a barrel of fish hooks and will try to gouge you! 2. Thoroughly inspect the car before you buy it. If there's something wrong, insist it get fixed before you buy. They will not stand behind the product they're selling once it's off the lot. I would not recommend Dick Says Yes for the above reasons. You may have bad credit and feel like this is the only place for you to go, but I would steer clear of them. They sell damaged goods at inflated prices (and are unresponsive to concerns of the customers). More

Jake let me focus on what I had researched and never once pressured me to look at or purchase a car that I hadn't done my homework on. First of all, Dick Hannah has an incredible website. All cars come with Auto Check vehicle histories listed right with their information. With a bit of research, you can go into the dealership armed with a complete knowledge of any vehicle you wish to see. I myself went to the Vancouver location to look at 5 cars. Even though Jake didn't have my top picks on his lot, he simply asked to see the stock numbers of the cars I'd researched and got right to getting us to Portland to see my first pick. I knew what I wanted, Jake knew what I wanted - and we were able to look at a very specific car within an hour of me arriving at the dealership. I hadn't expected such a level of respect. Where many salespeople are lazy and will try to sell you what they have on hand, Jake was more than ready to get me to the car I had selected. Once I got the car, the test drive was great. I was able to drive the car over the freeway, in city traffic and take it through the paces of gauging the vehicles condition. Jake told me, "Drive it like you own it." And I did. There wasn't any hassle or 'extra selling'. Jake genuinely wanted to let me get the best drive out of my first choice car. And that was the car I bought. Into the financing side, the guys worked to get me a stellar rate and made sure that I understood every piece of what I was signing. The warranty is great and I have zero concerns with my vehicle. If anything at all goes wrong I know I have a team at Dick Hannah Vancouver that has my back. I will definitely be a customer for life. I can't say enough good things about my experience at Dick Hannah Vancouver or my experience with Jake Adams. More
