Best Car Buying Experience Ever I usually dread walking into a dealership to buy a new car but my experience working with Chris DeWitt at Dick Brooks Honda was the best and easiest I I usually dread walking into a dealership to buy a new car but my experience working with Chris DeWitt at Dick Brooks Honda was the best and easiest I have ever had in almost 40 years of automobile shopping. I came in late on New Year's Eve and had already been to one Honda dealership. I knew the car I wanted (a Basic 2013 Honda Fit) and presented what I expected in price and trade-in to Chris. Rather than play the back-and-forth "I'll take this to my manager" game, Chris was very straightforward (he did consult with his manager after I gave him my terms) and came back with a best and final that, while it didn't meet all my "demands," was fair and doable. So we had a deal struck in record time. All the while, Chris was friendly and professional. There were no phony sales tactics to try to gain my confidence or create the illusion of a personal bond. Just a genuine friendly and business-like attitude. There were no hard sell tactics or attempts to pressure me into buying something I didn't want. in fact, after we had reached a deal, Chris informed me of the bonus feature that Dick Brooks Honda supplies a lifetime power train warranty for the vehicle! Everything should be so easy and pleasant. More

I am so glad I went to Dick Brooks as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by Lyman and he was Exceptional. I walked in filled out a credit app and within 20 minutes I was approved and I got a excellent deal with no money down. I even got him to throw in some extra stuff for FREE. everyone was excellent. More

I found RJ Gist and he walked me through the cars to see which one I wanted . He didn't pressure me or anything like that he made it all about me and not the business. He told me to think about it and then come back to see him. This was on a Friday and of course I was back on the lot the next business day to purchase. I loved how he made more comfortable about my decision and gave me the confidence I needed to buy my first car. The process was fast and easy. 10000% satisifaction. I love my 2015 Honda civic and i really enjoyed RJ's help. Thanks RJ and Honda ! More
PUSHING SERVICES NOT NEEDED We have had all our Hondas serviced here over the years, and bought our 2013 Honda here. We have always had great results from the service dept until our recent visit. We always conform exactly to whatever services are recommended by the maintenance minder on our 2008 Civic. I am sure that Honda spent much time and money on developing a system that shows what services are needed when. Anyhow, we came in for an oil change per the A1 code on the maintenance minder at 65,000 odometer miles. Service rep comes back with items that we need (or that he "recommends"--big difference!): 1. Fuel system service for $110--says due at 30,000 miles !!! This "service" is referenced nowhere in the manual or on the maintenance minder. 2. Transmission fluid service for $80--also due at 30,000 miles!! While this is a recommended service it will appear when needed on the maintenance minder as a #3 code. I understand that a Civic under normal usage will see this required in the 90-100,000 mileage range. 3. Drain and refill coolant for $75--due at 60,000 miles!! This is also a recommended service and will appear when required as a #5 code on the maintenance minder. Again, I understand that this is likely to be needed at 100,000 miles. Anyhow, these kinds of attempts to maximize profits and increase service advisor commissions are really disappointing. Needless to say we will try the other dealerships in our area next time. It appears that Dick Brooks is more interested in short term gain rather than long term customer relationships. Unfortunately, these tactics tend to push customers away rather than increasing revenues. More

So, 6 months later, I'm looking for a new car. I can't get that Civic loaner out of my mind, but still I try out a Corolla, Jetta, Cruze, Focus just to be sure. They were OK cars, but I love Hondas. So I visit 3 Honda dealers before coming back to Dick Brooks Honda. That life-time warranty attracted me. No one else offered it. And besides, I liked the service department with their large windows where I could see my car being worked on if I wanted to. Another local Honda dealer's service department is completely surrounded by block wall. The customer cannot see his/her car at all anytime during the service process. So, I chose to deal with Dick Brooks Honda. The price negotiations had a few tense moments, but I kind of expected that. The price I paid was a fair price, and I am very happy with my purchase of a new 2015 Honda Civic SE. What a quiet car! And I love that backup camera. That was a deal-breaker for my wife. I look forward to having this new car serviced at Dick Brook Honda's service department. More
Bought 3 cars in one evening I came to the dealer on a cold windy rainy evening and was just looking to price some used and new hondas for my wife and two daughters.We met Carlos I came to the dealer on a cold windy rainy evening and was just looking to price some used and new hondas for my wife and two daughters.We met Carlos Fraga who walked into parking lot holding an umbrella asking us how can i help you. We explained that my wife and I wanted to surprise our daughters with 2 new civics but wasnt sure what colors they would like so asked Carlos if we could drive Civic to our home (45 minutes away in Pelzer Carlos in back seat) and telling our daughters that their mom liked this car and ask them their opinion about it and the color. well one of my girls jumped in the car and went back to dealer to look at more colors for their moms car. I was just shopping prices ! Had no intention to commit. I drove 3 cars this evening with Carlos in the rain him running back and forth getting keys looking just as excited as we were answering every question. Well that night we agreed on a price and he had to find colors, models, and years since two were left overs. I gave them a $500 deposit on (2) 2014 civics and 2015 Accord and told them the colors they retrieved all these cars with NO PRESSURE,NO CREDIT CHECKS,just a hand shake with Carlos and his Manager Richard Bryant. Carlos kept me posted all the way calling me on his CELL PHONE with updates on Vin numbers color combinations he found and in 2 weeks ( my fault waiting on money) delivered vehicles to us at dealer all paperwork completed just signed paperwork 2 hours and done. I call him up with little questions from time to time on that Cell phone and he picks it right up!!! A1 service all the way. This is how you run a Car dealership... Very Happy More
