My husband and I initially only wanted to look at cars and see what we possibly would like. Went to couple of other dealerships around this one test drove a few cars and then ended up at Diamond Valley Honda. We met Devyon (misspelled?), he showed us a couple different vehicles, test drove them. I ended up really liking the used Ford Edge on the lot. 2024, reasonable miles and price was good. We decided to go ahead inside to talk numbers. We were told they have a service warranty which was 6 years/100k, and gap insurance. Ran our credit (not the best unfortunately) but he came back with some numbers printed out on a sheet of paper. Cost of car, down payment, monthly payments and interest rates…. Was told warranty, gap, tags, title and taxes included. We declined that offer, came back with lower payment option but price of car still the same as well as interest rates. Declined that offer. Then here comes AJ sales manager (notice how many negative reviews mention his name). He comes with another offer on paper…price of car still the same, interest rate same but monthly is down, asking an increase in down payment, which we agree too. My husband asked does this still include everything (as stated above). AJ says yes! I asked what did you do different to get monthly down. He states he took off the warranty of the clear sealant applied to the paint (or something like that) that was already applied as well as windshield sealant (or whatever the crap it was called). We were like fine let’s move forward. AJ has my husband sign that offer paper. Says we need to wait a bit for finance. An hour later we are sitting in front of Carlos. He is going thru the paper work at lightening speed, sign here, initial this…blah blah. We get to the contract that is now on a tablet. Starts with my husband, sign this etc etc. we reach the actual terms of the contract. The price of the car went up 7K dollars!!! and the interest rate dropped by 1.3 percent!! More money for them, we aren’t idiots here!! We stated we are not paying 7K more for this car. And this is NOT the offer we received out on the sales floor. We want to see that offer paper, Carlos magically can’t find it. Shuffles thru paperwork in folder, trash can…runs out to AJ to get it. It has all of sudden disappeared! Carlos has AJ come in the office. We asked about the 7K increase, he’s like we can’t just give away things. So basically he deceived us and tried to do a bait and switch trick and we told him this. He is sitting there eyes all wide like no, I would never do that. No discussion on dropping price of car, interest rates etc. States he already talked to the bank about dropping the interest rate as a courtesy to us. I call xxxxxxxx! It’s been like 7 years since we bought our last car. But we aren’t new to this, we are both in our 50s and have bought multiple cars. We walked away from this deal. But the lack of customer service and ethics at this place is beyond ridiculous. And wasting our time with this xxxxxxxx is why we will tell everyone we know to steer clear of this dealership. Don’t tell us one price and say that includes everything discussed. And then look at us like we are stupid for actually believing you! How were we to know you didn’t knock price of car down to get everything included? We clarified a couple of times that the price included everything we discussed, and AJ said yes of course it does. All lies 😡 VERY disappointed in our experience here. We were ready to sign and walk out of this dealership with a new to us car. Unfortunately you have very deceitful people working at this place. And customer service is extremely sub par. I understand dealerships are in a business to make money, but lying to your customers and being deceitful is wrong on so many different levels. My son just purchased a Honda Civic Hybrid this weekend. Marco did and excellent job at showing and explaining the car features, accessories and packages.
