I normally have a good experience with the dealership, but this last service was well below par. I dealt with Peter who seemed like he was willing to help me with my needs, but I ended up trying to track but this last service was well below par. I dealt with Peter who seemed like he was willing to help me with my needs, but I ended up trying to track him down for well over a week just to give me a simple answer. Initially, when I dropped off my car for my 9:00 am appointment on Friday, December 5, that I had scheduled two weeks prior, he said he would have it looked at and have a diagnosis by 2:00. I showed up to the dealership at 3:00, without even a call. When I arrived, my car had not even been pulled in to look at it (I only needed to have my brakes/rotors checked). Once I walked in, he went out to check and was told I was next. Once pulled in, It took a mere 15 minutes to get a diagnosis. I was told my rotors needed to be resurfaced, but they had just been resurfaced in May, 12,000 miles later. When I said resurfaced rotors should last between 30,000-70,000 miles, he expressed that "Santa Fe rotors are crap" and are "not covered under warranty", although he would "check with Hyundai to see if they would give me a good will replacement." He let me know he would call me on Monday, December 8. When I hadn't received a call by that afternoon, I called and left a message. I didn't receive a call back that day, or Tuesday. On Wednesday, I spoke with him. He said that Hyundai corporate would be on site that day and he would ask about the "good will replacement" and would call me by the end of the day. I didn't receive a call that day, Thursday, or Friday, although I called and left several messages. I finally spoke with him on Monday, December 15, when he informed me that Hyundai would not replace them because they are a wear item. He then stated that worn rotors won't cause any issue other than noise because my brakes were still good. I have since spoken with another mechanic and was told the exact opposite. All I needed was a simple response of yes or no from Peter, but was left waiting for over a week. Definitely don't recommend his service in the future. More
Made an an appointment for 10 am for oil change tire rotation and balance on 2025 santa fe Drove from mammoth lakes at 5 am. Got there 10 mins early to be on standby for another 30 mins. Also got to see how they like to speed cars (mine also) down CARRIAGE WAY through the round about and do a crazy u turn at the riders choice motorcycle dealership didn’t think nothing of it till I got home and seen luggage scattered to the right ! Stand by for 3 hrs and see it for yourself. More

Alicia was insanely helpful in resolving a part replacement for my vehicle. I fully believe she had my best interest at heart and tried to do everything in her power to make the fee hurt less than replacement for my vehicle. The people working there we're OK, kind of going through the motions. Didn't look very interested in their jobs, more interested in having conversations or whatever. I had an oil change at a Hyundai dealership in Washington state and they vacuumed my car thoroughly, and actually wiped down the dashboard and the doors. They even offered to wash it for me, they had a more professional attitude, they didn't act like they were kind of hanging out with their friends, like some of this dealership did. It was only an oil change, so it wasn't a big deal. I just received better service at the last dealership. I'll go here to get an oil change because it's close, but for anything else I don't think I would trust them with my vehicle. Strictly based on the unprofessionalism of everybody working there. It seemed like they tried, but it's just California culture to be a terrible employee I guess. Also, my oil change was done in the car was ready while the original customer service person I worked with was at lunch. So nobody called me to tell me it was ready, and when I went back in, I found out that it was just sitting there. They may want to fix that communication gap More
