I took my car in for it to be serviced without an appointment. Ben secured an opening right away. He has helped me several times in the past and is always pleasant and efficient. Then, when I got back home, I noticed some marks on the vehicle. I drove back two days later. I talked with service manager Brian and service man David about the situation. They immediately walked out with me to view the car and listened to my concerns. Brian then drove the car back to further investigate and discuss it with his service people. He came back to update me on his findings, and furthermore, stated that he would have his workers buff out the issue right away. Problem remedied! The vehicle looks great. I hesitated to return to Dewey Ford to express my concerns, but am so glad I did. Brian and David treated me with respect and kindness. Thanks to both of you for helping me!! You showed excellent customer service! More
Bought my f150 from them at the end of May(working with Jason), 2 weeks after having it the engine started ticking. Took my 2017 Taurus in at the appointed time yesterday and it never made it into the shop by late last night. Now i need to wait an extra day to get it back by Friday if I'm lucky. I've bought my last four vehicles there and I'm not sure i will ever go back. They seem to not value loyal customers much. They have no problem selling you a car, though. I drive from the deep south side of Des Moines to Dewey just for the service, now it isn't there anymore. I can go to the dealer in Indianola easier. More
We ordered a new vehicle from Dewey Ford for which we were required to leave a deposit. The vehicle arrived at the dealership 5 months later just at the time I was having major orthopedic surgery. I was told by our salesman that Dewey Ford would work with us and to not be concerned ,but when it came down to it the dealership threatened to sell the vehicle out from under us and not only would we lose a vehicle that was in high demand, we would lose our deposit. The day after arriving home from the hospital we had to travel 120 miles round trip to Dewey Ford to complete the purchase. After this horrible customer service experience with them I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. In dealing with the staff at Dewey we found that all 5 of the employees we had contact with outright lied to us and also in their response to the BBB complaint. The Dewey Ford motto, “We Treat You Better”, couldn’t be further from the truth. More

We were in a minor accident. State Farm recommended 3 places. Dewey was the only place that did both body and mechanical work. We will NEVER use them for body work or service work again. We waited WEEKS for an estimate and discovered they had already ordered parts when they gave us the estimate! We called numerous times and whoever answered never knew what was going on with our SUV. Always they said they would call back or have someone else call. It wasn't until we got our insurance agent and State Farm's claims dept. involved that we ever got a call back. We were supposed to have our car last Friday - at least that's when they promised it would be done. That was February 3rd. My husband called to see if it was ready late in the day. Nope. They were waiting for another part and it would be in Monday. I'm sitting in their parking lot while my husband is inside finding out what's going on. It is Wednesday, February 9th at 4 pm. My husband called this morning and was told they'd call back. Guess what. No call. AGAIN. We got our rental car a full week after Dewey got our SUV. We have to turn in the rental when we leave here. Our State Farm rental car benefit is used up. NOT ONCE has anyone from Dewey initiated a call to give us an update on the progress of our vehicle. As I said, when we've called them, we get nowhere. The car was brought to Dewy on January 6th, I think ( might have been the 3rd), and we didn't get the estimate until January 27th. It was promised February 3rd, now it's the 9th and my husband just found out that NONE of the mechanical has even been started!! This is beyond poor customer service! The service manager, John Bentley, agreed with my husband that this has been poor service. He said they will now pay for our rental car. At least that's something. My husband had been told last week that they were almost done with the mechanical work. My recommendation? Don't do business with Dewey Ford. More

Dealer refused to look at my truck to see if the bracket is cracked that has an active recall for it. I understand they don't have the parts but not even sure if my truck is impacted. Luckily another deal is cracked that has an active recall for it. I understand they don't have the parts but not even sure if my truck is impacted. Luckily another dealer that I didn't purchase the truck from is willing to step up and take a look. Sad for the amount of money I spent on a F450 to be treated this way. Will not be back. More
