Originally went in to look at a used truck and ended up leaving with a brand new 2011 Dodge Ram Quad-Cab Hemi 4x4. Couldn't have been more pleased with the service, and the friendliness. She treated me like a human being and not like another number coming in the door. I hate the greasy car sales people that make it more than obvious that the only thing they care about is your money. Ms. Peterson was not like the rest. She actually came in on short notice after being called and advised that I was in the dealership and I think that speaks to her character. I was made comfortable for my stay while everything went through. I was provided with Sodas and spent the waiting time roaming around looking at cars and suvs in the showroom. Couldn't be happier with the truck even though the interest turned out to be a little steeper that what was initially implied I will just refinance down the road when I get my credit in slightly better standing. Thank you Stephanie for the great experience in selling my truck. Also thank you the Deb Goldstaff for being friendly and conversing with me while I was waiting and hooking me up with a Tonneau Cover, and Line-X bed liner. More
I WENT TO THIS DEALERSHIP LAST WEEK TO PURCHASE A NEW JEEP. I CHOOSE THIS ONE BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSE TO MY HOME. WHEN I GO TO A DEALERSHIP I LOOK AT THE SALESMAN AS SOMEONE TO HELP YOU GET THE DEAL YOU WAN JEEP. I CHOOSE THIS ONE BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSE TO MY HOME. WHEN I GO TO A DEALERSHIP I LOOK AT THE SALESMAN AS SOMEONE TO HELP YOU GET THE DEAL YOU WANT THEN SEND IT OFF TO THE MANAGER TO APPROVE IT OR COUNTER OFFER, LAST I KNEW THAT WAS HOW IT WORKS. I HAD TALKED BACK AND FOURTH WITH JOE FOR ABOUT A WEEK TRYING TO FIND THE JEEP THAT WAS PERFECT FOR MYSELF THEY HAD ONE ON THE LOT THAT I WANTED BUT WAS A LITTLE OVER THE TOP ON ACCESSORIES. SO JOE FOUND ONE SIMILAR AT ONE OF THEIR OTHER STORES. THE FIRST JEEP WAS 40,000. THE SECOND JEEP WAS 37,000 THE SALES MANAGER SAID THEY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO GET ME IN THE FIRST JEEP FOR UNDER A 750 PAYMENT WHEN SOMEHOW THE SECOND JEEP THAT WAS 3,000 LESS THEY GOT ME A 589 PAYMENT ON. 3,00O WOULD NOT OF MADE THAT BIG OF A JUMP IN PAYMENTS. ROGER JUST DIDN'T WANT TO SEE ME IN THIS JEEP. I HAVE A FEELING IT WAS BECAUSE I HAGGLED WITH HIM ON THE FINAL PRICE OF THE JEEP TOO MUCH. THAT ISN'T EVEN WHY I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW THOUGH! WE HAD FINALIZED EVERYTHING WITH THE SECOND JEEP AND I HAD SIGNED THE INITIAL OFFER ON PAPER THAT TOLD ME MY PAYMENTS AND THE PRICE OF THE JEEP. I TOLD JOE I STILL HAD SOME STUFF TO EMPTY OUT OF MY TRUCK AND THEY HAD TO DO A DETAIL AND SOME WORK ON A LIGHT THAT WOULDN'T SHUT OFF ON THE JEEP. I TOLD JOE I WOULD GO DO MY THING AND WILL BE BACK IN 1 HOUR. I CAME BACK IN 1 HOUR AND THEY SAID THAT THEY MADE A MISTAKE ON MY PAPERWORK! THE ORIGINAL PRICE THEY QUOTED ME WAS AROUND 31,000 AND A PAYMENT OF 539. WHICH WAS PERFECT FOR THIS JEEP! WHEN I GOT BACK AND THEY HAD TOLD ME THEY MESSED UP. THE JEEP WAS 6,000 MORE THAN WHAT I HAD SIGNED FOR... I ASKED IF I COULD HAVE MY ORIGINAL DEAL AND THEY SAID NO! THEY ALSO SAID THEY WOULD HAVE MY JEEP DONE WHEN I GOT BACK AND IT WAS IN THE SHOP TILL THE NEXT DAY! I PICKED IT UP AT 5PM THE NEXT DAY. TALK ABOUT NOT HAVING GOOD COMMUNICATION WITH YOUR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. EVEN BETTER THE FIRST DEAL I SIGNED JOE MILLER TOLD ME THAT IF HE JUMPED UP THE 31,000 PRICE BY 500 HE WOULD GIVE ME A 500 DOLLAR GAS CARD. I TOLD HIM WHAT WOULD BE THE BENEFIT OF THAT. BUT WHEN I THOUGHT ABOUT IT AFTER THEY JUMPED UP THE PRICE 6,000 ON THE JEEP WHEN I GOT BACK I DESERVE THE 500 DOLLAR GIFT CARD BECAUSE ALL I NEEDED WAS AN EXTRA 500 DOLLARS IN SALES TO GET THAT GAS CARD! WELL I TOLD JOE THIS HE KEPT TELLING ME HE WOULD SEE WHAT HE COULD DO... THEN EVERYBODY THAT HAD THE SAY IN GETTING ME THE 500 GAS CARD WERE SUDDENLY TO BUSY TO HELP ME. I BROUGHT IT TO THE ATTENTION OF CHARLES IN FINANCE AND HE BASICALLY TOLD ME I GOT TOO GOOD OF A DEAL ON THE JEEP AND I WASN'T GOING TO GET IT. MIND YOU IT WAS A PROMOTION THEY WERE RUNNING FOR EVERYBODY THAT MONTH! I JUST WANT WHAT I SHOULD OF RECEIVED, THE 500 DOLLAR GAS CARD. THERE WERE A FEW OTHER THINGS THEY DID SHADY. THE CHARGED ME FOR GAP INS. A THEFT PKG I DIDN'T NEED AND I KNOW WE HAVE THE FINAL SAY BUT ALL I DESERVE BECAUSE I WAS TOLD I COULD HAVE IT WAS A 500 DOLLAR GAS CARD THAT EVERYBODY ELSE WAS GETTING THAT DAY! TO THIS DAY I STILL ASK JOE AND NO RESPONSE! BUT HE WAS SO RESPONSIVE BEFORE THE DEAL. ALL THIS PLACE WANTS IS TO GET THE DEAL OVER WITH AND THEN THEY ARE DONE! I WONDER IF A LAWYER WOULD AGREE WITH ME THAT I SHOULD OF RECEIVED THAT FIRST DEAL I SIGNED FOR??? More
I told Mr. Whitehead what vehicle I wanted and as soon as it came available he let me know. At my convenience he had me come up and test drive the vehicle. He got us drinks and made sure we were comfortable as the vehicle got checked out, the finance guy got everything ready for us and then went over all the paperwork with us. Mr. Whitehead got a person to explain all the functions of the vehicle as soon as he handed us the keys and she was very helpful. Then he came out again to make sure all our questions were answered. The service was thorough and quick, we are so satisfied we will buy with them again. More
I was VERY pleased with my experience @ Dewey Dodge, they listened to what I wanted. Even went as far as to put a pinstripe on my vehicle in the color that I wanted it. I was very nervous about purchasing a car for the first time without my dad along with me for advice. Stephanie, my salesperson, was waiting for me at the entrance with a friendly smile and a handshake as soon as I pulled up to the door. She answered all my questions completely and honestly. I always felt like I was being treated fairly. All information concerning pricing and procedure was very clearly explained in layman's terms. I even got more for my trade in than I was expecting! Thank you for a much more pleasant experience than I could have anticipated! More

You have a shiny new car; you're happy and a good review is imminent. Our original review was great. They really should beg you to write a review after you've had to deal with them after the sale. We had our vehicle two months and it was in the shop 3 times. Service acted as if it was an inconvenience to deal with us. A far cry from the helpful salesman who wanted a commission. We finally traded our vehicle in for a new vehicle at a different dealership and found out Dewey padded some numbers on a sales agreement. When we signed our purchase agreement at the time of sale Drew 'threw in' a vehicle theft option and pointed out how it wasn't on our agreement but it carried over and we just had to sign the agreement. Upon sale we realized the original offer from three days prior had the price added in. And it's non refundable. Yes it's ultimately our responsibility to review these documents. However there are so many and they fly through them. The original quote was days prior to the sale and we were specifically told 'hey we will just throw this in. See, it's not on your contract'. This was a used vehicle. The contract said the option was not transferrable so how was it possible to transfer to us? Spoke with Charles at Dewey who said he would have Drew return our calls. Two days and three calls to Drew and no reply. No wonder they beg you to rate them before you need to use any of their services. More
I have driven a fleet vehicle for over 3 years now and both vehicles have been Dodge Ram's that have been ran through Stew Hansens. Because I live in Ankeny it is more convenient for me to use Deweys for service. Unfortunately the experience has been so poor I have chosen to use Bob Brown GMC for my routine service. They can accomodate me on short notice anytime I have needed service work where Dewey can rarely do so. They always seem swamped with business and act as if they are going out of their way just to service the vehicle. It takes very long to do any work and the estimates for time are always way off. Very little information is ever given on the vehicle problem and communication is very poor. Now the only time I will take my vehicle there is for recall work which I hate to do because it is so difficult for them but I have no choice! More
