I received your review today. I have spoken to our service manager and one of the other owners. The recall we did performed, is in fact, a minor connecter switch. This recall simply disconnects the wire and replaces the connecter. I am more than happy to show you the actual recall showing what is involved. The snapping noise you showed our service manager is from a totally different switch than the one we performed the recall on. I understood that we offered to diagnose the issue and if it was in fact from our recall repair - we would take care of it. However, if it is a totally different issue then there is a normal diagnostic fee. I understand that this is frustrating, but I can assure you we are being as honest as we can with you. I would like to resolved this with you. I would be willing to diagnose the issue for you for free and waive the 85.00 charge. However, it is still my service managers feeling, along with more technician, that it is most likely a different issue going on with your car. Feel free to contact me personally. Thanks you for taking the time to provide us a review. I am sorry you were unable to give us a five star. I believe the feeling on the vehicle was that we were far below Kelly Blue pricing so we were at our bottom line price no matter what a inspection would have found. As far ad document fee's go - we do charge a 210.00 doc fee which is allowed by the state. Most dealers do, but not all. However, if you do charge a document fee you are required by law to charge everyone the same fee - 210.00 or up to 5% of the value. All of our employee's also pay the same fee when buying their vehicles from us. All that said, I apologize if any of us made you feel uncomfortable and we do appreciate that you took the time to give us feed back. By doing so, you give us areas to where we can improve! Thanks for your response, I am very happy w/ the vehicle. The pricing was great and I am very happy w/ the deal. State law limits the amount a dealer can charge to a maximum of 5% of the value of the sale, not to exceed $210. I was told the state required a $210 fee, which is not true at all. MI is one of the few states that caps the charge, allowing the dealer to set their own rates not to exceed the maximum. A vehicle inspection is essential when buying a used car, especially when there is not a warranty offered. Explaining that you are at rock bottom pricing regardless of what an inspector might find is totally understandable, which I believe you were, but that is not the conversation we had. I'm loving the car and have already told two friends who are shopping to check out your inventory. Thanks again!
