Staff was friendly and efficient. They communicated well about my repairs, timeframes and cost. Many dealers say they will call you back and never do, but Aimee called me and let me know what was wrong and about my repairs, timeframes and cost. I love the service at Albany Dodge because they have "Service Specials", one of their specials was with a coupon they had sent me, pay for 1 oil change, get 3 free. After I was told that I would receive something in the mail and I didn't after awhile, when I went on Monday 1/2/12 to have my car serviced, the nice girl who I don't remember her name, found my 3 free oil changes and brought it to my attention. My car was serviced and she was great. She didn't have to do that.... As a side note, the dealership needs a little updating... More

My godson runs this dealership and he has grown up to be a Prince of a guy. But that is not why I write. I had routine service this week and it was done quickly and correctly. Plus a great waiting area while having it serviced. I have been a custome for several decades, but the service has been extremely efficient the last few years. I usually leave my van off for a day or 1/2 day, but had to wait this time and was amazed to be out of there in 40 minutes! Keep up the great work James! More

Good Service Department, But Needs Some Improvement. Last year I purchased my 2010 Dodge Charger from Albany Dodge and was very pleased with their sales personnel and the overall experience. They were not pushy and very pleasant to work with on the purchase after I had test driven several vehicles over two days. 6 months after my purchase though I had a problem with the chrome bezel on the cup holder pealing. I brought it in to their services department and they informed me it was still under warrantee for replacement of the part, so no cost to me. They said they would order the replacement part and call me when it came in. 4 weeks later I had still not received a call so I called them. They said the part had come in, but because I never came in for it they sent it back. I told them that no one had called me so I had no idea it had come in. They said they would have to re-order the part and promised that I would be called when it came in (no apology). The service person said it would probably arrive in a week. I waited two weeks, no call, I called them and was informed that it was there and had come in that Monday (it was now Thursday), I told the person that I had not been called again and she apologized and scheduled my appointment. I arrived a week later for my appointment, I was there for an hour when the service person came and informed me that they had been sent the wrong part, they would reorder the correct part and call me when it came in to reschedule my appointment. I reminded them that they needed to call me this time as no one ever called me the last two times. 3 weeks later I received a call that the part had come in and we scheduled another appointment. I arrived later that same week for my appointment. After waiting 20 minutes the service person came to me and told me they had ordered the wrong part. I was not happy at this point and told her this was the second time they had the wrong part and had wasted my time. She did at least apologize and this time sent the parts person out to the car with me for me to "show" him what part I needed. I thought this was rediculous, as they had already inspected the part originally and should know what part to order, in any case I remained my composure and showed the parts person "exactly" which part was needed. He wrote it down and apologized and said he would order the part right away. They again said they would call me when it came in. 4 weeks later I had still not received a call. I called them and was informed the part was there, I asked them if they were sure it was the right part as they had ordered the wrong part twice before. She said they had the correct part this time. We scheduled my appointment and when I went in they finally had the correct part and were very quick in installing it and did a very good job of installation. During this 6 month time frame I had also had 2 oil changes done and a fog light replaced. Those services were very well done with no issues, but this cup holder part replacement was very frustrating and annoying. It's not even that the actual service people are not pleasant to deal with, they are, but the department does need some work with regards to ensuring they order and then receive the "correct" parts, and with their follow-up to calling their customers once the parts do come in. I would also recommend that the double check they have the correct parts before they call the customer to schedule the appointment in order to avoid having their customers comer in for nothing and loose time at work for no reason, and to avoid the frustration that both they and their customers have to deal with when this happens. More
