Car #1 purchased as a "certifed pre-owned" dodge. Has several problems, all of which were repaired at no cost within a reasonable time. Car #2 purchased new from another dealer, had several dodge. Has several problems, all of which were repaired at no cost within a reasonable time. Car #2 purchased new from another dealer, had several sensor type failures, all of which were repaired at no cost however it took 3 weeks to get parts and to make the repairs, which was a major inconvenience. Albany Dodge did arrange for 6 days of a rental car which helped. Hasd I purchased the car from Albany Dodge, I would have been more insistant on a loaner car. More
I purchased a 2011 mini van in May. Mid July a check engine light was on. I waited 2 weeks for the part to come in ...called...no one ever ordered it. Waited another 2 weeks, called again...was put off engine light was on. I waited 2 weeks for the part to come in ...called...no one ever ordered it. Waited another 2 weeks, called again...was put off 2 more weeks for service appointment. First off all, why does a virtually new vehicle need major service? And second, why so difficult to get an appointment? **I also had to fight for a rental car to be covered! Tony was very helpful in this matter. I still had to hold my ground though, should not be necessary. Of note I still had to pay car insurance & provide my credit card. Overall service was Fine, timely, friendly. I think I am more disappointed in my purchase than anything. My 02 Ford SUV ran better at trade in than the 2011 Dodge. Too expensive for such poor quality! More
During an unrelated service appointment I requested on the service paperwork that the engine be looked at because it was ticking. I later called and spoke with the service rep indicating the engine was m the service paperwork that the engine be looked at because it was ticking. I later called and spoke with the service rep indicating the engine was making lifter noise. Later that day I spoke with the service manager and had him repeat to me my service request regarding the lifter noise. The Service Manager said lifter noise is common in the mornings due to oil drainage. Well the noise issue was never addressed because the engine lifter noise happens every time you start the truck. If it true per Service Manager's implication that Dodge builds in engine and lifter noise as feature in their trucks I want that in writing. Otherwise I was this correct under my existing power train warranty. More
I bought a car on June 26 and have had nothing but problems. I was ignored for 2 months until I filed a claim with BBB. They promised me a loaner car while my vehicle was being repaired. I was made to problems. I was ignored for 2 months until I filed a claim with BBB. They promised me a loaner car while my vehicle was being repaired. I was made to sit for 5+ hours and denied the loaner. I was made to feel like the issues were my fault. Everyone I have encountered here has a horribly condescending attitude. Won't be doing business here again and I regret referring a friend here which resulted in a sale. Now I'm unfortunately stuck with this car More

When I got my truck, there were greasy finger prints on the door handle and on the back seat. The drivers floor mat had greasy foot prints as well. I understand working on vehicles your hands and shoes c the door handle and on the back seat. The drivers floor mat had greasy foot prints as well. I understand working on vehicles your hands and shoes could get greasy but come on before releasing it to the customer one should do a check over to make sure if the inside of the vehicle gets greasy one should clean it. The same goes on the body. I cleaned greasy prints off the hood and fenders when I got home. When I mentioned and showed Tony about the grease in the interior he sent it back to the shop to get it cleaned up. He did apolizied about the grease. More
I called the Service Department to ask how much it would cost to program 2 transponder keys for my Grand Caravan. The man I spoke with told me it would take a half hour labor and cost $55. plus tax. I did m cost to program 2 transponder keys for my Grand Caravan. The man I spoke with told me it would take a half hour labor and cost $55. plus tax. I did make a note of that, however I did not get the man's name. About a week later, I called to make an appointment (Tuesday 7/24/12). I spoke with Annette. She told me it would cost $89.95. I told her I was quoted $55 plus tax, and that maybe I should have made the appointment with the man I spoke with before. She said it doesn't matter what you were quoted, the charge will be $89.95. No "Sorry sir, it was a mistake, the actual charge is $89.95". I asked if I could speak with the Service Manager, Kevin. She said he wasn't in now but would be in later. I left several messages for him on Tuesday but he did not return my calls Tuesday or Wednesday. Wednesday, about 1 PM, I had the keys programed, everyone there was professional. The car was handled well, and the new keys work fine. When I was checking out, Annette asked me what was the SECOND estimate that I received. I replied $90. Later, reading my service report, I noticed it said: "Customer hereby acknowledges receiving original estimate of $90.00 (+TAX)", not the $55 I told them I was originally quoted. Misquoted, no apology, no call back from the Service Manager. I won't be back. More
I dropped of my vehicle on Friday morning to have an oil change done and mud flaps put on. I left my vehicle there for 5 days. My husband has been in Kuwait since January 2012 I flew out to spend a couple o change done and mud flaps put on. I left my vehicle there for 5 days. My husband has been in Kuwait since January 2012 I flew out to spend a couple of days with him before he has to go back. Annette had told me no problem to keep the truck there. She was very nice. When I returned on Wednesday I waited for 45 minutes. I was over charged and it took for ever to get the invoice corrected. I understand that things happen but 45 minutes seems like a long time. My truck was never even brought out to me. I had to get a ride from the airport from my father in law, so instead of keeping him there with my luggage I asked if someone could bring my truck around so that he could leave, the girl behind the counter told me that it would be around back and I could go get it. So wandering around the lot was fun.. I'm not sure but I would of expected for my vehicle to have been brought around the front for me.. Truck is new 2012 my Husband purchased it just before he deployed. Joe was our sales rep, we had a great experience with him. Service not impressed for our first visit. Sorry. Rosemary McHugh More
Having made an online appointment eight days prior, I went to the dealership only to be told I didn't have an appointment. When I explained I had made the appointment on line, I was told "online appoint went to the dealership only to be told I didn't have an appointment. When I explained I had made the appointment on line, I was told "online appointments go to the sales floor and often don't make it to us (the Service Department." Aimee asked if I could leave the vehicle for the day, which I did. It was ready by 3:30. Fine so far. The service was for bad wheel bearings. (This on a vehicle with 31,000 miles...) Today I decided to rotate the tires (five days after the service visit), and when I pulled off the front driver's side wheel I was met with grease sprayed everywhere. Apparently, the technician hadn't reattached the CV joint boot. This is just plain irresponsible, and potentially dangerous. I don't know if any damage was done to the CV joint, but I'm calling first thing in the morning to get this situation rectified as soon as possible. This isn't the first time I've had shoddy work done at Albany Dodge, and if Albany Dodge wonders why I don't go there for non-warranty service, this is yet another reason why. More
