My Husband and I received a mailer about trading in our current vehicle and I had always loved the Dodge Charger, so we decided to go down and take a look. We first called and spoke with Suzanne who was so friendly and helpful and she said come on down and then we had the pleasure of meeting Matt Dyer and he was so helpful, honest and explained every detail of the car that we were interested in. Like others have stated in their reviews, he was not pushy at all and he wanted to make sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted. We decided to go ahead with the purchase. We started out on Tuesday and said we would pick it up on Friday. Unfortunately, one of the other employees was using the car we were purchasing as a demo and had taken it home and then ended up having a family emergency and could not have the car back for us to pick up on Friday. Matt called us and explained and even though he knew we were dissapointed, he was very apologetic and said he would make it up to us. We were then told that we could pick up the car on Monday at noon. Monday came and Matt called us early to let us know that things were a little crazy and the car would not be ready until Monday evening. At this point I had almost changed my mind about purchasing the car, but we arrived at 5:15 on Monday evening and Matt was there with a big smile and our keys. Matt, Eric and Suzanne were the BEST, but I do not think that upper management really cares enough about their customers. If management really wanted a happy customer they could have made arrangements to have the car returned from the employee's home on that weekend and given him a new vehicle to demo and had delivered the car to us when promised. Rocco Peluso was introduced to us twice and he seemed as if he could care less about us and that we were not important at all. Rocco did approve a couple of free oil changes for our troubles, but I would have like to have been treated as a VIP by him, rather than just a sale. Maybe they need to management people like Matt, Eric and Suzanne who treat people the way they would want to be treated. Thanks to Matt, Eric and Suzanne and we love our 2012 Black Dodge Charger. When you visit Albany Dodge, ask for KYLE - he will stick to you like glue, in the most attentive, pleasant way, and not at all obnoxiously! He knows how to time his phone calls to keep in touch, and to let you know he is still on the case. Other dealers that we called or visited didn't seem that interested in helping us find a mini-van, even though we already had the financing set up - that was puzzling. We also noticed that there were lots of sales being made while we were there. Cars in the showroom, and in the lot, were gone just over a few days time. That was encouraging. Seems like quite a few car/truck-buyers like Albany Dodge! Oh, and they happily took our dear 2001 Grand Caravan, with 116,000 miles on it, and a few dents, as a trade-in for a very decent price. We are very happy with Albany Dodge, and especially KYLE! More
My past experiences shopping for a car have been pretty negative, long drawn out sales process and high pressure tactics. There was none of that with Kyle. When I need a new vehicle, I'm going to talk to Kyle first, although I'm hoping it'll be a while. The car I purchased is pretty awesome! More
Salesman were great (Joe and Alan), delivery of the car not so great. Waited around for almost 2 hours got in the car (the first time) and it was completely dirty, the outside looked great but no one deta not so great. After that and all the waiting it was finally time to take the car home and I couldn’t wait to get home only to find out they didn’t put any gas in it. At that point I just wanted to get out of there.. so I stopped and put enough gas to get home(car said i only had 12 miles to empty). As good as Joe and Alan were I don’t know if I would go back. When you spend over $25k on a car you expect the dealer to put some gas in the car and to schedule the deliveries a little better.. More
I was in for service for an oil change. The Oil Light was not reset, nor was the oil sticker replaced. When I asked the service adviser about these issues, they were quite rude about it. Easily got an appointment when neither wife nor I had need for van. Arrived on time, waited in comfortable waiting room. Service was done after advisor went over the requirements for my vehicle. I had an appt for 2:30, so I expect my car to be worked on within a few minutes of the timeframe. I sat in the waiting room looking at my truck which sat there until after 3pm..... An oil change and a c on within a few minutes of the timeframe. I sat in the waiting room looking at my truck which sat there until after 3pm..... An oil change and a car inspection of a new vehicle took over 1 hr and 15 minutes. No one came to explain that they were behind......I approached the service reps 2 x's about the length of tiime I was there. I could have gone to my local garage and had this done in 10 minutes. I did purchase a car from this dealer, but only because it's a hard car to find, they had the exact model I wanted and i was comfortable dealing with it's mechanical issues at the price they offered. The salesman was pushy and was minimally informed about the vehicle. he was dismissive and evasive about every mechanical question i had about the car, despite knowing that I am mechanically competent. they claim a "120 point inspection" on every car sold, but when i requested documentation of what the mechanic found, they were either unable or unwilling to produce it. I requested that the dealer fix 2 minor issues (driver window and passenger door lock) prior to picking up the vehicle. I was assured when i picked up the car that the issues were fixed, and it was clear immediately that they had not been looked at. I would not recommend this dealership, and would specifically advise non-mechanically inclined individuals to avoid it. More
Went to Albany Dodge to trade my 2003 Dodge Ram for a new Dodge pickup. Was fortunate enough to get Joe Nolte as my salesman for this deal.I sat there and told Joe exactly what I was looking for as in color Dodge pickup. Joe went out to the lot and came back with exactly what I wanted and then we talked about my trade in and I was very happy with the figure he came back with and a deal was made then. The paperwork went smoothly and i left there a happy man ready to pick up my new truck the next day. I was talking to another salesman the next day and he told me that Joe was fairly new on the job. I wouldn't have known that because I thought that he certainly did a professional job and I am very happy with my new vehicle and happy to have dealt with Joe. He took the time to call me after I got my truck to see how everything is going and if there were any questions or problems and he also told me to call him any time. If anyone is planning on doing any business with Albany Dodge I reccomennd you ask for Joe Nolte. He does so good now, he may have to put you on a wait list by then Mike Bouck More
