Honesty & Integrity- Prevented $1600 in Unnecessary Repair The AC on my 2015 LEAF wasn’t working. A Nissan Dealer in the Mid-Hudson Valley area diagnosed the problem as a corroded AC Condenser and Lines. This The AC on my 2015 LEAF wasn’t working. A Nissan Dealer in the Mid-Hudson Valley area diagnosed the problem as a corroded AC Condenser and Lines. This seemed unlikely to me as the car has only 22,000 miles on it and no signs of corrosion were evident. I brought the car to Destination Nissan for a second opinion and they corrected to problem (evacuated system and found low R134 level, charged to correct pressure, checked for leaks and found none, added dye and re-checked for leaks and found none). Service Advisor STEVE KANE was wonderful to work with, professional and yet personable and down-to-earth. Steve went above and beyond to keep me informed of developments- he contacted me before, during, and after the diagnostic/repair process and I was very much appreciative of and impressed by his efforts. As for Technician MIKE BONESTEEL, the fact that he debunked the the diagnosis of the other Nissan Dealer combined with the fact that the AC system has been functioning PERFECTLY since he corrected the problem, are testaments to his honesty, integrity, and skill. Destination Nissan is fortunate to have Mike Bonesteel and Steve Kane on their team. They are the reason why I will return to Destination Nissan for future Service and Repair work and to buy my next LEAF even though there are other Nissan Dealers closer to my home. More
