My husband and I first encountered Desert Toyota about three years ago when we were wanting to sell my Toyota Tercel and trade up. They were just impossible to deal with, price wise and otherwise, and kept us there until after closing, when we finally just left, dissatisfied to say the least. This past week I had something go wrong with my new Toyota -- which, by the way, I got at Scott Toyota in Scottsdale, not at Desert Toyota -- and needed some warranty work done on it. I would have preferred to go to Precision Toyota, but it is so far away (clear on the other side of town for me, about a 45-minute drive one way) that I decided to bite the bullet and go to Desert. Bite the bullet indeed. They took down all my warranty info and made an appointment. It was for four days later. I brought it in at the appointed date and time and ended up waiting all afternoon for it because they never called a shuttle ride and the shuttle driver was sitting in the lobby most of the afternoon just watching baseball on the overhead TV and shooting the xxxx with the staff. Then they told me as they were about to close service for the day (four hours after I arrived) that they would have to order the part. I was incredulous. Why hadn't they ordered the part four days earlier when they first inspected my car and spoke to me about what was wrong? To be continued... More
Well, turns out my husband and I were the people who needed decent transportation and got screwed out of it... I regret buying my car from Desert Toyota!! After a 5 hr. process of "making us happy" we needed decent transportation and got screwed out of it... I regret buying my car from Desert Toyota!! After a 5 hr. process of "making us happy" we were finally allowed to leave. Couldn't pick up our car for 6 days, was told a huge amount of things were done to it and was never to this day given proof yet. Drive home and come to find out the put no coolant in it and when we called then we r passed around to every sales person there and never get an answer.<br> We are now working on getting the car fixed but let it be known to anyone.. This is xxxx, I never thought I would going through this with a car. Jag is being informed, Better Business, and a couple other people.. I will take this dealership down!!!! More
