The brand basically sells it self. I just purchased my third Audi from Rancho Mirage, and I can't say enough good things about the sales and service staff. I am not an "easy sell", and they have always gone beyond my expectations. It's refreshing to buy a car from a dealer that is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their product, Thanks, keep up the good work guys! More

Go to Walter's Audi instead. Although this dealership has some of the best salesmen... (Thomas Moscato)... Your "Audi Experience" soon vanishes in the finance office. We were lo Although this dealership has some of the best salesmen... (Thomas Moscato)... Your "Audi Experience" soon vanishes in the finance office. We were loyal Audi customers (still love the product), but are not loyal to Rancho Mirage Audi. First buying experience was wonderful. Second was ruined by finance manager changing numbers after agreeing on price. Third time had same finance officer who tried to mess with numbers again, didn't properly fill out information correctly, and later tried to refund less on a trade we had. What an insult! They were making a bunch of profit off of trade and sale, yet he was going to screw us over even more. Never Again!!! Goodbye Rancho Mirage Audi! Hello Walter's Audi. More
Great Experience Based upon the reviews here, I almost didn't buy a car from them - particularly since I live on the other side of the country. However, I checked som Based upon the reviews here, I almost didn't buy a car from them - particularly since I live on the other side of the country. However, I checked some other sources and one of the local German car repair shops and they were much more positive. My salesman, Mike Jackson, was upfront with me and we quickly negotiated a price. We handled most of the deal remotely. I flew in to test drive the car and finalize the paperwork. I was out of the dealership in less than 90 minutes. They told me an out of state title would take 3-6 weeks and they overnighted to me in 3 weeks. I didn't have any problems registering the car in my state. Overall, it was one of my best car buying experiences. More
DON’T BUY REMOTELY AND SPEND HOURS ON THE PAPERWORK In general they have a nice selection of vehicles but they’re not looking at retaining long-term customers. They just want a quick sale. Specifi In general they have a nice selection of vehicles but they’re not looking at retaining long-term customers. They just want a quick sale. Specific Issues that I had in trying to purchase a Jaguar XKR from them remotely in August 2015: Paperwork: The paperwork was a fiasco. The numbers were inconsistent with what we discussed over the phone and in the end the purchase amount less the agreed upon fees less the down payment should have equaled what was remaining, but did not. Desert Motors tried to schedule an external company to meet with me to sign and notarize the paperwork. Besides the day and time miscommunicated between my sales person at Desert Motors (Kyle) and the finance person (Davin), the paperwork sent was much more extensive than what was emailed to me for pre-review – and the numbers were not the same as in the pre-review. The handwritten contract was almost illegible. The car had 1400 miles on it and was being sold as new, untitled, executive driven vehicle. As Kyle stated, it was “as new as new gets”. A day or so before finalizing/signing the paperwork Kyle informed me he could not complete the Carfax paperwork to guarantee the vehicle because he said it only applied to preowned cars and “this car was still new and on MSO”. He also said, “the car is new with some miles on it and is considered an untitled factory demo that is why you are leasing it so inexpensively. “ Yet on their website it stated that it qualified for a Carfax report. Below are bullet points taken straight from Desert Motor’s website, they stated: • No Total Loss Reported to CARFAX." • No Structural/Frame Damage Reported to CARFAX." • Vehicle Qualifies for the CARFAX Buyback Guarantee." • No Manufacturer Recalls Reported to CARFAX." • No Indication of an Odometer Rollback • No Accidents Damage Reported to CARFAX." • No Airbag Deployment Reported to CARFAX." At the eleventh hour prior to delivery we were informed the vehicle was going into the body shop for some repairs, not what I would consider “as new as new gets”. When the vehicle finally arrived, it was missing hook screws in the trunk, the windshield wiper plastic nut cover and the cargo net (which was stated in the write-up as included). When I confronted Kyle about these missing items, he stated he sold the vehicle “as-is” (like it was a used car). Dealing with him was infuriating, when I asked about the Carfax I could not get one because the car was “new”, when I asked for the missing pieces to be provided the car was “used” and sold as is, it can’t be both. • After some pressure Kyle promised to send those items to me (this never occurred). • Kyle and Elaina (Finance Director) promised to put some “swag” in the car when it shipped (that never happened either). They also stated, “we would not be disappointed” (well we were). Although Desert Motors required and accepted our proof of insurance, we received a letter from US Bank (who financed the lease) about 1 month after receiving the vehicle that we had to LOWER our deductible for them (from $5k to $500) to meet their lease agreement requirements. This should have been caught by the dealership and pointed out for us so we could have rectified it prior to delivery. It also took about 8 weeks to get our plates even though we paid this dealership about $125 to have a special service expedite them. They didn’t even ship the car with temporary plates. More
Terrible experience Let me tell you about our (My wife and I) experience at this dealership. I was in the market for an A-5. We happened to be out in the area for dinner, Let me tell you about our (My wife and I) experience at this dealership. I was in the market for an A-5. We happened to be out in the area for dinner, so thought we could stop by and just do some preliminary scouting on one. We walked onto the lot and were finally "waited" on by a salesman that looked like he had just woken up and gotten out of bed. Wrinkled clothes, uncombed hair, you get the point. When I mentioned that I was looking for an A-5, he basically blew me off by saying they really didn't have any and to come back next month. So we proceeded to walk back to our car...........right by 3 brand new A-5's. I was so furious that I called the manager the next day to let him know what happened. He was very apologetic and knew right away which salesman it was when I described him. I have the feeling I was not the first (or would be the last) customer that complained about this guy. So my question is this....why do you have a rude salesman at a higher end dealership that you know is a problem? You must not care too much about your customers is the only answer I have. So I went to Walter's Audi in Riverside and was treated very well. Well enough that I have purchased not one, but two cars from them in the past year. I would highly suggest that this dealership get rid of Mr. Rude before they lose any more potential customers. More

I guess you need to "lick it" to really buy it! Desert European Motorcars listed a vehicle I wanted on their website. I inquired on Jan 11, and after a series of emails and phone conversations, we Desert European Motorcars listed a vehicle I wanted on their website. I inquired on Jan 11, and after a series of emails and phone conversations, we agreed on a deal on January 14th. Salesperson agreed to pick me up from the airport as I would fly in from out of town to pick it up. I offered to put down deposit via Paypal or wire, however was told that it was not necessary at this point. On Jan 15th I was informed that the car had been sold to someone else! For those familiar with the Toyota commercial, I guess I needed to lick the car to really place my claim on it. What was even more aggravating than having the car sold out from under me, was that the GM Shad never answered three simple questions 1. how did it happen and could be prevented in the future 2. help me find a similar car in the Porsche network or 3. get creative on another car to make it worth my while. He never replied to emails, and only left voicemails for me...I was never able to get him live on the phone...always “in a meeting.” Absolutely gutless and lacking in integrity. More

Salesman was product knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us a great experience. Everyone was respectful, friendly, and treated us like family members. Audi A5 was vehicle of our choice but drove three models including the new A3 (super fun, handling was impeccable, with an unbeatable price). This was hands down the best auto purchase in over forty years. More
