Fundamentals Going on 2 weeks of headaches. I drove off the lot in a clean looking MKZ with 3 open safety recalls. It later became apparent that the car hadn't bee Going on 2 weeks of headaches. I drove off the lot in a clean looking MKZ with 3 open safety recalls. It later became apparent that the car hadn't been serviced in any way except washed. Sync system was not updated. Wipers were dry rotted. No oil change. Missing AC louvers which weren't discovered until after the sale. Argued with the dealer about whether the car had undocumented front end damage before the sale, later found overspray indicating that it did. I noticed during the test drive that the air conditioner smelled bad. I commented on this. When I had time this last weekend, I personally checked the cabin air filter located behind the glove box, and it was covered in mouse droppings. To clarify this means when the AC was on, the occupants were breathing mouse poop. There is not enough Lysol in the world to get that smell out of my head (I tried). To top it off, my immune compromised mother who is fighting bone cancer rode in this car with the AC on, and if she gets sick from the mold it's a health emergency. All this from a 16000 mile car. Not sure what to do except move on. More
