It really sucks that a small part of a company can make the entire company look terrible. I’ve spent a significant amount of money with Dennis Dillon in the last year and a half. Both at the GMC store and the entire company look terrible. I’ve spent a significant amount of money with Dennis Dillon in the last year and a half. Both at the GMC store and the Power Sports store… My experience with the sales side of things couldn’t have been better. In fact, I have another Yukon Denali on order. However, when I started to have issues with my brand new Yukon, service has pretty much treated me as if I’m a liar and that my concerns are of no importance. In fact, the last two times I was in there, my service writer told me that he doesn’t need this job because he has a side business. I can’t begin to explain to you how frustrating that is given the amount of money that I’ve spent with the Dillons and the amount of time I’ve invested, since purchasing, in their service department. Even more frustrating because I have ANOTHER order placed. Mind you, on a brand new vehicle, I don’t believe I should have to spend hardly any time in the service department, aside from routine maintenance. I have had nothing but electrical issues, creaking noises, you name it, it’s probably happened. I’ve got video evidence of the issues that I am experiencing, but they don’t seem to care. And it definitely shows with the response that I’m getting from their service writers. Good for you and your side business! No wonder the service department is falling behind… The people that man the desk are focused on their own business. What a joke. Being a local, family owned business, I thought they would treat their customers more like family. The more I deal with the Dillons, the more I realize they’re just like big corporations. Using their consumers as steppingstones to reach the top. Hopefully they can get this figured out. The more I deal with this business, the more Kendal looks appealing. More
BUYERS BEWARE (especially out of state)! In short, this dealership sells vehicles for MSRP and offers competitive pricing to entice buyers into entering into a contract with them. Once they have your depos dealership sells vehicles for MSRP and offers competitive pricing to entice buyers into entering into a contract with them. Once they have your deposit and your vehicle arrives, nothing can be done electronically. Anyone who is going to be on the loan must travel and sign everything IN PERSON. Additionally, you are required to finance through one of their preferred lenders and pay an inflated interest rate (on average 2 points higher than your qualifying rate) So actually, you do not pay less for the vehicle, you just pay it in interest rather than principal. Just a less transparent, or deceptive, way of tacking on an addendum. Additionally, they require you to keep your financing for at least seven months. All of this is called predatory lending, and it’s illegal and deceptive. If you express concerns or ask questions about these tactic, sales management just talks over you, interrupts, lets you know you’re wrong, and then will pull the deal because they “want to avoid receiving a poor survey returned from GM.” Customer service is about transparency, listening and hearing your customers, and general caring. This dealership has none of those qualities. Since we were not given the opportunity to fill out a survey with GM regarding our experience, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, Idaho Office of the Attorney General as well as a complaint with GM. Very dishonest business practices, boarding illegal. We thought we were purchasing a new 2022 GMC Yukon XL. Fast forward a month later when the car arrived and we went to go finish the deal. We had about 4 thought we were purchasing a new 2022 GMC Yukon XL. Fast forward a month later when the car arrived and we went to go finish the deal. We had about 40% to put down on the car when they decided to tell us that they cap your down payment at $14k and you have to finance through them and have the option refinance after 6 months of payments. But here’s where the plot thickens even more, they can’t even tell you what kind of interest rates they are offering for well qualified buyers which is yet another red flag. So they will undoubtedly run your credit and come back with some absurd interest rate so they can cash in on you. And if you don’t finance through them they tack on a penalty fee. All of this just very conveniently comes to light after you have signed over a $1000 deposit that just so happens to be non-refundable. Of course that contract doesn’t mention any of these financing stipulations nor is it EVER put into writing or even verbally mentioned until they have looped in all the way and your deposit down. Ask as many questions as you want- they have all clearly been trained well in how to skirt around your questions and not be at all transparent. A quick look online shows that many other customers have had the same experience, so it’s putting it mildly to say that they operate on very dishonest business practices. I highly suggest you turn right back around and go to a much more honest dealership that won’t abuse you via their business practices as Dennis Dillon so clearly does. More

We looked at a vehicle for a possible purchase. Our salesperson was nice, helpful, and was not pushy in any way. Bart was great to work with and was the reason we came for a second look at the vehicle. salesperson was nice, helpful, and was not pushy in any way. Bart was great to work with and was the reason we came for a second look at the vehicle. And that is where the good experience ended. We were introduced to Sterling (the closer) and the arrogant and dismissive treatment began. First, they asked us for our insurance card (after the test drive was already done) and gave no reason why. If you are not aware, there is a lot of information the dealer can ascertain about you with your insurance card information, which we refused to give to them as they do not need it especially since there was NO deal in place. Second, after entering our information into their computer system, Sterling was so kind as to walk away and leave the computer open with our information up for everyone to see. Data security was given ZERO priority by Sterling. I had to insist that Sterling close out the computer program in order to protect our data. Third, they attempted to pack the deal with extra fees and costs in order to increase the price of the possible deal. For example, "theft protection" was added, without even a consideration if it something we would want, which amounted to a second insurance policy above your private insurance. Sterling was evasive when asked about this item and when pressed, he straight out lied to our faces about it. We simply will not do business with a company that cannot be forthcoming, reasonable, and dare I say - honest. So we left, drove down the street and purchased a similar vehicle from a different dealer the same day. More

We took our motorhome in to have serviced the second week of July. It is now the second week of September and we don't have our RV back. We've called multiple times without a returned call. We went into of July. It is now the second week of September and we don't have our RV back. We've called multiple times without a returned call. We went into the service department and finally got a call saying they would have it done a week ago. We haven't heard a word from them. We called twice and left messages both times! This is the worst service we've ever had. More

I’ve been offered 22K from two different dealers two days prior. Walked away after being told it is what it was worth based on like car sales. Next morning I was called and offered $21k by the dealership. Against my own judgement I returned to purchase the vehicle. Upon delivery I was told the vehicle didn’t have a second set of keys or owners manual. I get it they aren’t always available. To add insult to injury the purchased vehicle was not washed and vacuumed at delivery and the gas tank was less than 1/4 full. After finance was completed I had to put the required temp licensing sticker in the vehicle window myself as well as remove the mat protection adhesive from the mats. Bottom line this dealership does not value customer service nor build repeat loyalty. Do yourself a favor and use this review as reason to run not walk from this Dennis Dillon dealership. They are truly the gold standard in how not to earn repeat business. More
I agree with 1 and 3 star ratings. Bought a Nissan from them in 2004. Haven't been and will not go into one of their dealer. Went back for service once. Rude, won't listen, know it all. them in 2004. I checked the F Took car to Dillon for repair ac They said the expansion valve was bad and replaced that about $750 1000 miles later AC not working. I checked the Freon and it was below minimum. The mechanic claims the AC seals dry rotted and it will take $450 to fix it. I told the service tech that I am now suspicious that the expansion valve was not the problem. When I referred to the little mileage I had put on the car between these event the service tech tells me that it’s not his problem that I don’t drive it very much !!! Having a 25 yr history of jet aircraft maintenance as well as 12 years as a commercial vehicle inspection officer for state of Idaho I feel it is more likely that the valve was not the problem and it is more likely the gaskets, if dry rotted did not do so in those 1000 miles. Point being that I paid for expansion valve replacement needlessly. They will not stand behind their work, and you get to pay for it. Ive learned my lesson..... More
