He assured me I would be charged the same as always since we purchased the car at Dennis Dillon Nissan Boise. He said the computer put the incorrect charges down, but he wrote the correct amount on my invoice. This is the price I have been charged the last 6 years since I purchased the car at Dennis Dillon. Same price as several, family members have been charged as well. Aug 15, 2022 @ 9:45 am- Called in to talk with Jordan as I was charged $65.68, instead of the $33.87 which I have always been charged and agreed upon. Not a big amount but principal. Tim answered the phone and said Jordan was off could he be of assistance. I explained the problem, he pulled up the invoice and said he would take care of it today and call me back once completed. He did not call back. Aug 16, 2022 @ 8:15 am- Ronnie answered and said Jordan was with a customer. He said he could take a message and have Jordan call me right back. Aug 16, 2022 @9:45 am Wes answered and said Jordan was not in. I said Ronnie said earlier he was in and with a customer. He said I meant he was not at his desk. He wanted me to leave a message. I said I had already left a message. I assumed he was not going to return my call so I told Wes I will take care of it and cancel payment on my credit card. I guess that got Jordan’s attention. Aug 16, 2022- 5 minutes later Jordan called me back and said he had resolved the problem , and would have a credit to my credit card no later than Aug 17, 2022. August 22, 2022- No credit on my credit card and no phone call from anyone at Dennis Dillon. I have emailed and called the general manager, executive manager and service manager. None of them returned my call or email. So our family got together this weekend and determined that over the last 6 years we as a group have purchased 14 new vehicles from Dennis Dillon and have spent an average of $9,872. per year in the service department. This has ended and we will no longer do business with any Dennis Dillon establishment. We also agree with other reviews regarding the credit manger….a real jerk. More
If I could give them 0 or negative stars I would. Absolutely the worst car buying experience I have ever had. Constantly throwing different dealership requirements at you until you are backed into a Absolutely the worst car buying experience I have ever had. Constantly throwing different dealership requirements at you until you are backed into a corner and either walk away from your non refundable $1,000.00 or purchase the vehicle. They know exactly what they are doing every step of the process and to be honest its disturbing. Not sure how some of them sleep at night with their tactics! The real kicker is they require you to utilize their "preferred" bank of which they get a kick back on the interest rate. They then threaten you that you can't refinance for 6 months and even suggested that they have hired an attorney to go after people who refinance earlier. Can only put 20% down, have to finance for 72 months, have to use this bank or that bank. Do not buy from this dealership, hands down worst ever! More

Basically I hate surprises… My shopping experience at Dennis Dilon GMC had multiple unpleasant surprises... 1. Ordered truck…. Signed build for $68,535…. Same price as two other dealers I researched Dennis Dilon GMC had multiple unpleasant surprises... 1. Ordered truck…. Signed build for $68,535…. Same price as two other dealers I researched…. Thought it was an out the door price except for “normal” doc fees and title and taxes…. Mentioned to my saleman Alfred that I planned on using the GMC 0% financing offer…. Then Alfred informed me of the Dillon financing option and that it would cost me $2K more if not used… that was surprise 1 2. Sent in cash offer form for my 2018 Chev Silverado 2500HD tradein on the Dillon website…. Offer came back at a little over $45K…. Sent detailed pics and specs of truck to sales team and theyu called back with an offer of $41…. I was flabbergasted... After arguing back and forth Dillon did relent to honoring the web form offer…. Surprise 2 3. At closing, I still chose the gmc 0% financing offer and expected the $2K "surcharge"…. The sales team now insisted it was $3K more…. Surprise 3 4. I chose their financing option to save the $3K and then the final write up included an additional $1,700 of previously undeclosed dealer charges…. Surprise 4... Skyler at Dillon made the financing option better with a decent finance rate and short term conditions to pay back if I wish. Still think Dillon may be standing on thin ice on the trade in sales tax issue and WA sales tax guidelines with restricting down payment to 20% and giving the difference back to the customer in the form of an "equity" check…. But I am depending they know best on that issue… I am happy with the truck and the fact the truck came in 4 months waiting, but would NOT buy from this dealer again… Poor communication and changing conditions during the sales experience... I would just choose another dealer and wait for the truck longer... More
This is 3 years post sell…find out during a trade that this dealership straight up misled my wife. I had made a mistake and had my credit file locked when they ram our credit. When we realized it, I ask this dealership straight up misled my wife. I had made a mistake and had my credit file locked when they ram our credit. When we realized it, I asked them to rerun my credit. They said they did and nothing changed but when I went to trade in 3 years later find out that they didn’t even title in my name. They put me as a co-signer and we paid higher interest, that we didn’t need to, because they were straight up lazy. I will never buy from Dennis Dillon again after they do shady finance work like this. I bought CPO so know they got dealer kickbacks and everything. And yes…my name was on the application for title. Going to talk to an attorney to see if I have a case for small claims. More
It really sucks that a small part of a company can make the entire company look terrible. I’ve spent a significant amount of money with Dennis Dillon in the last year and a half. Both at the GMC store and the entire company look terrible. I’ve spent a significant amount of money with Dennis Dillon in the last year and a half. Both at the GMC store and the Power Sports store… My experience with the sales side of things couldn’t have been better. In fact, I have another Yukon Denali on order. However, when I started to have issues with my brand new Yukon, service has pretty much treated me as if I’m a liar and that my concerns are of no importance. In fact, the last two times I was in there, my service writer told me that he doesn’t need this job because he has a side business. I can’t begin to explain to you how frustrating that is given the amount of money that I’ve spent with the Dillons and the amount of time I’ve invested, since purchasing, in their service department. Even more frustrating because I have ANOTHER order placed. Mind you, on a brand new vehicle, I don’t believe I should have to spend hardly any time in the service department, aside from routine maintenance. I have had nothing but electrical issues, creaking noises, you name it, it’s probably happened. I’ve got video evidence of the issues that I am experiencing, but they don’t seem to care. And it definitely shows with the response that I’m getting from their service writers. Good for you and your side business! No wonder the service department is falling behind… The people that man the desk are focused on their own business. What a joke. Being a local, family owned business, I thought they would treat their customers more like family. The more I deal with the Dillons, the more I realize they’re just like big corporations. Using their consumers as steppingstones to reach the top. Hopefully they can get this figured out. The more I deal with this business, the more Kendal looks appealing. More
BUYERS BEWARE (especially out of state)! In short, this dealership sells vehicles for MSRP and offers competitive pricing to entice buyers into entering into a contract with them. Once they have your depos dealership sells vehicles for MSRP and offers competitive pricing to entice buyers into entering into a contract with them. Once they have your deposit and your vehicle arrives, nothing can be done electronically. Anyone who is going to be on the loan must travel and sign everything IN PERSON. Additionally, you are required to finance through one of their preferred lenders and pay an inflated interest rate (on average 2 points higher than your qualifying rate) So actually, you do not pay less for the vehicle, you just pay it in interest rather than principal. Just a less transparent, or deceptive, way of tacking on an addendum. Additionally, they require you to keep your financing for at least seven months. All of this is called predatory lending, and it’s illegal and deceptive. If you express concerns or ask questions about these tactic, sales management just talks over you, interrupts, lets you know you’re wrong, and then will pull the deal because they “want to avoid receiving a poor survey returned from GM.” Customer service is about transparency, listening and hearing your customers, and general caring. This dealership has none of those qualities. Since we were not given the opportunity to fill out a survey with GM regarding our experience, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, Idaho Office of the Attorney General as well as a complaint with GM. Very dishonest business practices, boarding illegal. We thought we were purchasing a new 2022 GMC Yukon XL. Fast forward a month later when the car arrived and we went to go finish the deal. We had about 4 thought we were purchasing a new 2022 GMC Yukon XL. Fast forward a month later when the car arrived and we went to go finish the deal. We had about 40% to put down on the car when they decided to tell us that they cap your down payment at $14k and you have to finance through them and have the option refinance after 6 months of payments. But here’s where the plot thickens even more, they can’t even tell you what kind of interest rates they are offering for well qualified buyers which is yet another red flag. So they will undoubtedly run your credit and come back with some absurd interest rate so they can cash in on you. And if you don’t finance through them they tack on a penalty fee. All of this just very conveniently comes to light after you have signed over a $1000 deposit that just so happens to be non-refundable. Of course that contract doesn’t mention any of these financing stipulations nor is it EVER put into writing or even verbally mentioned until they have looped in all the way and your deposit down. Ask as many questions as you want- they have all clearly been trained well in how to skirt around your questions and not be at all transparent. A quick look online shows that many other customers have had the same experience, so it’s putting it mildly to say that they operate on very dishonest business practices. I highly suggest you turn right back around and go to a much more honest dealership that won’t abuse you via their business practices as Dennis Dillon so clearly does. More
