I am not from the USA, so i was not familiar with carfax etc and how to research a vehicles history properly. I thought I could trust the dealer to be upfront regarding the vehicle and its history, but I fe etc and how to research a vehicles history properly. I thought I could trust the dealer to be upfront regarding the vehicle and its history, but I felt this was kept quiet. The car was listed on the website, I travelled from Maryland after arranging to see the car. When I arrived they told me it wasn't available. The car needed a new windscreen and 4 new tyres. After some discussion, they replaced the tyres and took 500$ off for a new windscreen. Test driving the vehicle, I noticed a knocking sound. They assured they will fix any repairs if I take it to VW and there is an issue. Turns out the entire drive shaft and transmission needed to be replaced. Luckily VW replaced this for free. Deluxe auto sales did cover for ubers I needed to take before VW gave me a replacement vehicle. Credit to them. After all of this, I come to find out later the car was a lemon buy back and had previous engine replacement + many more problems. There was a document that i was signed that mentioned this, but I was never made aware nor was it ever explained to me. Felt like this was all kept hush when I purchased the vehicle. (My fault for not doing my research I suppose) More

Having the “right” product is great, but when you’re purchasing a high-end vehicle that’s still under the manufacturer’s warranty, you don’t need to worry whether the car you’re considering is in good shape or not. What made the difference for me was the sales experience, great communication and follow through on commitments that I received from the Deluxe Team! I live in South Carolina and Deluxe is in New Jersey, so for obvious reasons, this presented a few obstacles from what a “normal” sales experience would be, not to mention the fact that I had a reasonable level of anxiety about spending a ton of money sight-unseen with a dealership that I had never done business with before. From the minute I first reached out to the time the car was delivered (yes, I said DELIVERED) Caroline and Shane held my hand and made sure I was comfortable with the entire transaction. Caroline did a terrific job of a facetime walkaround of my car and confirmed it had all the features I was looking for. There were a few tiny scratches that you’d need a magnifying glass to see, but she even pointed those out to me to make sure I was 100% comfortable with the vehicle. Shane, the General Manager, helped me by coordinating transportation to get the BMW to me AND my trade in back to them. The entire process was seamless and took less than a week once the paperwork was signed. In addition to working out all the complicated logistics, I would be remiss if I didn’t compliment them on their transparency and pricing- I paid a very great price on the car I purchased and was given a very fair amount on my trade. Working in the Automotive Industry like I do, I come across many examples of dealerships with poor practices that are the reason why customers are apprehensive to do business. Aside from going to the dentist, I think my wife’s least favorite place to be is a car dealership! Fortunately, we have teams like the one at Deluxe who are treating customers RIGHT and doing their part to change people’s opinion of the “car business”. Thank you, Caroline, and Shane! You guys will be at the top of my list the next time I’m in the market for a new ride! TLDR – I would definitely recommend Deluxe Auto Sales to anyone in the market for a pristine preowned ride!
