John "No Nonsense" Tambone to the rescue! Made a reasonable offer via internet to purchase a unit. Salesman replied acting like god blessed him with the ultimate word, and he replied he wanted proof that anyone would sell for same price. Used car, three years old, mileage over 30k, and original warranty expiring, if not expired. Unit priced at 80% of original MSRP, not including the many rebates GM provided at that time. If you don’t want to meet an offer, simply apologize that deal cannot be had, or counteroffer if wanted. Clients don’t need to feel abused while buying from any dealer. Wanna bet they all use the “chip shortage” subject on each and every offer less than full list. Guess they got used to always eating lobster ! More
