The service department makes me feel as they are looking for "things" to create additional services and generate additional revenue. I had my truck in earlier this year for the 100,000 mile service. They found my coolant reservoir appeared to have a small crack in it and said it needed replaced. I took their word for it over the telephone. When I returned to pick up my vehicle I asked to see the crack in the old reservoir. The service writer said they had already thrown it out and couldn't find it when I asked to see it. They never checked the cabin filter during that visit. During this visit to change the oil, they checked the cabin filter and said it needed to be changed and said it would be $85 plus tax to replace it for a $15 filter....advising the "book" says they can charge 1 hour of shop labor. I declined as I felt that was outrageous price to replace the filter. I've purchased 6 cars from Dellen in the 27 years I've lived in Greenfield. It feels as though the culture has changed and I'm not sure I will be doing business there in the future. Upon getting in my truck, I noticed greasy finger prints on the exterior and interior door handles, steering wheel, gear selector, etc. It was obvious no one bothered to take time to clean (and disinfect) my vehicle before returning it to me. More
