Star Nissan in greensburg has employees who rig up their used cars in any way possible to sell them fast. They sold me a sentra that has had a clunking noise in the rear tire since day 1 and they told me it used cars in any way possible to sell them fast. They sold me a sentra that has had a clunking noise in the rear tire since day 1 and they told me it was a aftermarket break pad that has no problems, until I find out once my warranty is up that the rotor was shot. They also didn't tell me the two front tires had leaking problems and I also haveto replace them and pay for them myself since the warranty is up. The only thing their paying for is a service engine light that I need a valve for, which I have been waiting for 3 months for the part to "come in". I will never again buy a car from this dealer.. They have bad work quality and are very unreliable and cheap. More
My wife and I purchased a 2010 Camaro SS from Star Chevrolet on June 7th. The entire sales experience was handled extremely well. Dick Miller, Lee Boschetti and Dave Ballew were the people we dealt w Chevrolet on June 7th. The entire sales experience was handled extremely well. Dick Miller, Lee Boschetti and Dave Ballew were the people we dealt with and all were very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I have had experiences with other dealerships in the past that were unpleasant to say the least. We were treated very fairly with the price of the Camaro, which we love, and the value given to the vehicle we traded. From the sale to the financing, we were very pleased. Altough Star Chevrolet is about 45 minutes from our home, we will definitely go back to Star again when we are purchasing another car. Thanks again to Dick, Lee and Dave. More
I was referred to Ryan by a good friend, but Ryan was off and referred me to Jeff. The sales process was okay at best. My wife was looking for a new automatic transmission car that was AWD and decent on gas. and referred me to Jeff. The sales process was okay at best. My wife was looking for a new automatic transmission car that was AWD and decent on gas. Those were the only three things we required. So Jeff showed us a Jeep which is AWD and automatic transmission but only gets 14mpg. Right there I began to question the customer service skills as they couldn't even show me something that met 3 simple criteria. To my horror, my wife fell in love with the Jeep, so we decided to deal with the fuel economy and purchase the vehicle. The price was considerably more than I wanted to spend, and Jeff did a great job working with us to get the price to a manageable number. We bought the vehicle at approximately 18k. He told us that the Jeep was fairly new and that they hadn't had a chance to put it through the certification process yet, so we should bring it back for that and they would loan us another car. I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but they didn't bother to distinguish between the certification process they were going to do and the actual Certified Pre-Owned Inspection required by Jeep to sell the car as a Certified Pre Owned Vehicle. I foolishly assumed it was the latter. After getting the Jeep back after the "certification" process, I discovered that the front tires were completely bald and do not hold air for more than a few days, the wiper fluid was empty, and the AC blower is bad. Despite all of these things, it had a brand new inspection sticker on the windshield. At this point, I took the Jeep back to the dealership while I was still within the 3 month warranty. I was walked to a trailer, while they took my Jeep to the service department. My wife and I were told that we could be given a ride to the mall or eatnpark at any point and to just let them know. After sitting in the trailer for 2 hours, we decided that we'd like to go get food. Our request for a ride was very impolitely declined. At this point, we went for a walk around the lot to blow off some steam. I noticed that our Jeep was sitting in a parking space right outside the trailer, so we went back inside and asked for an update. The lady said she would find out and let us know. About two minutes after that, a pizza delivery driver showed up and all the employees took their break. I still had no idea what was going on with my Jeep and we had now been there for nearly 3 hours. Finally, I asked for my keys and some guy whose name escapes me brought them after another 20 minute wait. At this point, the Jeep was sitting in the same parking space for 1 hour that I was aware of and who knows how long it was there before I noticed. I asked how it went with the Jeep and was told that the tires were resealed to the wheels as a courtesy and a nail was removed from one of them also as a courtesy. He said the AC Blower was bad and it would be $300 to fix it and that the tire tread essentially wasn't his problem and I should talk to my salesman. I let him know I was displeased with the fact that my wife and I were there for over 3 hours and all they did was reseal a tire and remove a nail that probably came from their lot as they were undergoing heavy remodeling and construction. We left with my wife in tears because she just wants her car to work right. So I contacted my salesman. He said that the car wasn't a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle and that they never would have used the word "certified" when describing the inspection process they would put it through. After a lot of useless arguing, a manager, Dick Miller, called to tell me about their "certification" process. I found this slightly humourous as I had just been assured that they would never use that word when selling a car. This guy was a sweet-talker and eventually convinced us to come in to the dealership. At this point, I had to go to work, so my wife went to talk to them. Within an hour, my wife came to my place of work, in tears (for the second time). She said that they wanted us to refinance and buy a $2600 warranty with the car and they would fix it up. I declined all of this as, based on what they told me about "certifications", it should have already been done or be covered. I asked my salesman for the Service Records for the vehicle. He told me that he would get them for me. That was 2 weeks ago and I still don't have them. I feel like my wife and I are being taken advantage of because we are young and don't necessarily know how these things work. When the Jeep was presented to us as a Certified Vehicle, it was logical to assume that they were talking about the 100+ point inspection known as the Certified Pre-Owned Inspection rather than some random dealership "certification" that overlooks seemingly everything. Worst experience i have ever had at any dealership. All they cared about was buying my car and getting on there lot. After they got the car it was like we don't know him. Until they need your signature and they cared about was buying my car and getting on there lot. After they got the car it was like we don't know him. Until they need your signature and they call you house like 8 times the next day. Or if you write a bad review and they call and yell at your wife. Real gentlemen NOT! More
WORST DEALERSHIP EVER!!!!! I bought the 5 year/100,000 mile warranty (bumper to bumper) and when something went wrong they said it would not be covered. I was also charged $22,000 for a Honda Civic meanwh mile warranty (bumper to bumper) and when something went wrong they said it would not be covered. I was also charged $22,000 for a Honda Civic meanwhile the value is $12,000. My fiancee and I got treated like complete crap when we came up to inform Star of the problem that happened (their cheap wiper blades shattered our windshield). They thought yelling was the way to solve the problem and calling us liars. Very professional right? I tried trading in the car to get something more family oriented (starting a family soon) and no dealership will take it as a trade in. Star has screwed me over in more than one way. The car is worthless so are the employees and the service!!! not worth the amount I am paying. So now i get to live the next 5 years with a car i hate paying outrageous car payments and insurance payments. Do not go to this dealer or you will regret it later!!! Worst ever!!! More
We where looking for a vehicle at another and simply did not trust the other dealer. We then called Star to speak with someone. Because we have some issues with credit, we spoke to Steve. We told him a set not trust the other dealer. We then called Star to speak with someone. Because we have some issues with credit, we spoke to Steve. We told him a set amount down, as set amount a month. After being told for 3 days that we where in that range. The day before pickup we where called and told a different amount from both. After telling him thats out of our budget and we where going to walk away, he told us to come in and get it, we got you there. Once we got there, the deal changed again. While buying the car we were told a number of things: 1. We will get a full tank of gas 2. The floor mats are in the car 3. They would call our insurance None of this happen. When we called the Manager. He simply said "We don't put fuel in Used Cars" and "There are no floor mats". When you talk to Steve, he seems to be a pretty straight up guy, and I don't know if it's an act or how the dealership trains their salesmen to treat people. But there system out there needs work.. Bad. More
Very nice and pleasant experience there. We had just left another Chevy dealer down the road where we had a horrible experience. Star made the experience fun and relaxed. And we love the car too.
