I purchased a 2012 Sante Fe a little over a month ago. Price was a little higher than I wanted when I went in but I am satisfied with the negotiations. This is the fourth vehicle I have either purchased or directly influenced the buyer at Kruse-Warthan and i have not been disappointed. Josh Steger was very good throughout the process and continues to answer my questions. My only regret is that I should have negotiated a remote starter on the deal but I did not think of it at the time. Overall I am satisfied and I love the vehicle! More

I recently decided to get my shifter knob replaced in my '99 BMW 328i, and decided to shop around for prices before I bought one. I checked eBay, Craigslist, forums, and finally checked the actual dealershi '99 BMW 328i, and decided to shop around for prices before I bought one. I checked eBay, Craigslist, forums, and finally checked the actual dealership. When I was looking online prices were $80+ for a cheaply made plastic one. At the dealership I was quoted $25 for a "leather" shifter knob. I went back later that day and had them recheck the price. They had misquoted me and the actual leather one came in at $57, quite a bump. Instead the service part employee sold it to me for $40 because of his mistake. A 30% discount on the product! Plus it's a OEM product that I KNOW will fit perfectly. Would definitely recommend the parts department to anyone here. More
I was intending of purchasing my new Nissan Maxima out of town since their Warthan has a poor reputation. However, they had the best price between the two dealerships. I will never buy based on price alone town since their Warthan has a poor reputation. However, they had the best price between the two dealerships. I will never buy based on price alone again. There service department is horrible, and the sales staff does not leave you alone. Prior to purchasing the vehicle I felt like I was being stalked receiving multiple phone calls everyday. The service department is awful and takes over a week to get in for an oil change. Where my local Chevrolet dealership does same day service and the dealership where I should have bought the car also does same day service. More
This is the only BMW dealer in our area so we had to bring our BMW there to get it serviced. We were quoted a price of $1100.00 for labor and parts and we decided to wait until after winter (when it is bring our BMW there to get it serviced. We were quoted a price of $1100.00 for labor and parts and we decided to wait until after winter (when it is stored) to get the work done. We went back to get the work done and they pulled up the quote and said they would no longer honor it and charged more. We had to get the work done so we left the car to get the electronic throttle replaced. We got a phone call the next day saying that the problem may or may not be something other than the throttle and that once they took a look they would call. We explicitly stated that we didn't want anything done until we heard the news as the next part was going to cost another $1900. They call us back two days later and say they fixed the other part (the $1900) and that it didn't fix the problem so now the throttle had to be replaced. We asked them only to fix the throttle and if there were other problems to call us before work. Now we have to pay $1900 to pick the car up and the throttle we brought it in for isn't fixed yet. This work was not completed with our approval. We intended to sel the vehicle and would not have taken on this expense to sell the car for the cost of the repairs. Terrible customer service (the car has been in the shop since Monday and Thursday we got the call that the part we didn't want fixed was fixed). The person we dealt with (Jay) said that we gave him permission to complete the work, and now we have nothing to say any different because he says we told him "over the phone". I would not work with this dealer again, and if we decide to fix the throttle we will make the trip to Madison to have the work completed. More

They do not list the prices of their vehicles online, plenty of good pics but no prices. There is a way around it and that is by going to thonline.com and going through the classifieds. They just need to post prices like they used to. 3) Besides that the only other complaint was asking for remote control for the entertainment center but if we really wanted it we could get it ourselves. 4) A bit more diversity in cars, might be because they are in a tight area. Somewhere in the middle would be the fix it job they did but it is my belief that it is more the wear and tear we have put our mini van through. I would assume after 30k miles the same problem may come up again since it is an american car and not so much the dealership fixing it. Pros: They know how to sell and do well doing it. We were ready to go to another dealership after just checking around town but Reese kept us there. Which was to our benefit because we got a good deal in my opinion. I wanted stow-n-go seating the wife didn't care but the one that did have it was the wrong color so they definitely showed us our options. They would do better with a larger dealership in my opinion because there seems to be a lot of the same vehicle there sometimes, but at the time it was what we wanted. We later went back for repeat business for an Audi they had, they went out of their way to help with financing but we weren't ready and they understood. We regretted it. All in all the sales team is always there to help and the guy we got, Reese is a good person and we will definitely look at them first, somewhat because of him. (I later saw him at my bachelor party and he was just as funny, down to earth and polite as when he sold it, so at least we knew there were no gimmicks) In closing it is a good dealership, very helpful, maybe a bit sketchy on the specs when you ask some of them, like power and such but thats what the net is for. Compared in prices, you will find better deals in Chicago I have found but when asking them it is definately not the small town feeling and they will sell you anything and hope that you will take their second choice and it just seems a bit shady. Compared to the other guys around town, Finnin Ford won't come out to ask you if you need help at all even if you park right next to the building (Might have been because I wasn't white). Riley Suburu is high pressure but the neighboring Finnin used dealership is good and seem to have good deals. Don't know why there is a difference between the two Finnin dealerships. Runde was very helpful and would have been who I would have bought from if it wasn't the Warthan dealership. Jake R. More
I bought from Kruse Warthan because they gave me a rock bottom price on a new Hyundai Sonata. I will never buy based on price EVER again! Their after sales service and support was terrible! 1) I purchas bottom price on a new Hyundai Sonata. I will never buy based on price EVER again! Their after sales service and support was terrible! 1) I purchased the car from out of town, so they had me send a bunch of financial data so that they could have the forms pre-printed, pre-assembled, and ready for signing. When we arrived, we found out that someone forgot to do this and instead of taking 30 minutes as they promised, the signing of papers took 2 and 1/2 hours because they did not get any of the forms ready. 2) They improperly filed my extended warranty application and my application was rejected. They never notified me even though I was paying for the extended warranty plan! I had to contact the dealership myself and have them correct this. 3) When I received my car, the dealership had already done the Post Delivery Inspection and failed to see (or didn't report) a chunk of exterior window molding/panel that was scraped off and missing. I discovered this when I got home that night. 4) My calls and emails are never returned. Anytime I have a question, it takes several days for them to respond and sometimes they never respond at all. 5) When I spoke with the service technician to schedule my first oil change, I asked if I could get worked in on the upcoming weekend. Instead of saying, "Sorry we're full, can I get you scheduled for next week?" he instead barked tersely "We're full through next Tuesday!" and hung up on me. Before the sale, the staff treated me like a King and gave me a great price. After the sale, they have had very bad communication. Bottom Line: Kruse Warthan needs to be a lot more upfront and emphasize better communication before I will recommend them to anyone. Better communication would have curbed or eliminated nearly every issue I have had with them to date. More
I went to this dealer to get my oil changed on my 2004 Hyundai Sonata. Before we even talked about my oil I was told my car needed to have the 60,000 mile check over for a mere $750 or I was taking a cha Hyundai Sonata. Before we even talked about my oil I was told my car needed to have the 60,000 mile check over for a mere $750 or I was taking a chance of having my car fall apart. I told him I wasn't interested--I got the look. I told him I thought I had a headlight out. I asked if it would be covered under warranty. He said I was about 1000 miles over for it to be covered. I asked how much it would be--he said $45. I told him to forget it. When I left the dealer I went to Napa and bought the part for $12.95 and my brother put it in--he took all of 10 minutes. What a friggin rip off. I will never go there again. I think they thought I should contribute to their remodeling and it is just not going to happen. More
