Dick Dean "bait and switched" me from one closed-end car lease, to an open-end commercial lease without disclosing the facts. I had a Passat wagon that was at the dealership monthly and they closed-end car lease, to an open-end commercial lease without disclosing the facts. I had a Passat wagon that was at the dealership monthly and they told me Volkswagon would take it back and they would just switch it out into another lease. Never did I state I was a commercial entity (I am an individual leasee), nor did they disclose they were switching me from one type of lease (close-end is walk away at the end of the term which is what my first lease was) to open-end. Open-end means the leasee is financially responsible for the difference in the car's value at the end of the lease and the payoff amount. In my case, it is over $10,000!! After speaking with an attorney, I discovered open-end leases are hardly ever written anymore and they are typically used for accounting purposes so companies can take the depreciation on the asset. To top this all off, I found out this happened to my best friend, as well! Same thing! DO NOT GO TO DICK DEAN FOR ANYTHING!! THEY ARE CROOKS! More

We bought a used vw golf gti. For some reason it only came with one key. We never thought anything about it until this weekend when we lost the one and only key to the car. After calling several places a came with one key. We never thought anything about it until this weekend when we lost the one and only key to the car. After calling several places and looking ont he internet, it seems that you have to tow your vw to a dealer to have the key programmed to the car which is a huge inconvience. The key is around 300.00 plus the tow bill, which will be alot beacuse we live 2 hours away. This should be told to all customers that buy a VW because it is not an easy fix. I will not ever buy another VW for this reason and i will also make sure that whatever i buy comes with two keys. Of course the dealership will not tell you this because you will not buy the car. VW will not release any of their codes to any lock smith or others to help with this problem and there is a class action lawsuit against them now for this reason. I have contacted the dealer talked to sales and service and asked for a manager with which i left a message but haven't heard from them either. So, buyer beware. Angela Beard More
