I have touched base with our General Mgr whom you spoke with prior to you posting this. He offered you the fair market value of the vehicle which was anywhere from $6700 to $6000 (last price is from Manheim). The average is somewhere in between and determined by the condition of the car which is an unknown to us without seeing it. Chances are the dealership you were trying to do a trade with made a statement regarding the accident on this vehicle in 2014 in order to offer you less. The CarFax states "Accident reported .... Airbags did not deploy". There were NO structural issues with this vehicle. The GM is still willing to work with you regarding the fair market value. But cannot pay you the $15K you requested. You purchased this vehicle 3 years ago and have since put 40K miles on it. The current CarFax shows no major problems with this vehicle or at least no service history that would indicate any. Please feel free to call back should you want to speak with Colin again. (314) 966-0303 We also have put in place since your purchase a system whereby not only is a CarFax pulled and printed for the Customer but the Customer also signs it at the time of the sale.
