On Thursday June 25, I received a call from a call center sales person, who assured me that Dean would meet its own advertised price of $22,800 for a new 2021 silver Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Blue currently in st sales person, who assured me that Dean would meet its own advertised price of $22,800 for a new 2021 silver Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Blue currently in stock. He advised us to get into the showroom asap and close a deal with Scott Varnum. We set up an appointment with that inside sales person for 1:45 that day, to “test drive the vehicle while the service department goes over the trade-in to confirm its value.” We showed up right at 1:45. We were told there was no record of an appointment, and that Scott Varnum was with Volvo, not Hyundai sales. Torrey told us to come over to his desk to figure out who we were. He sat while we stood. We told him we wanted to buy the car for cash for the advertised price, and were there for the test drive and inspection. He told us the car was out on service loan. We asked how that could even be. He said any car can have up to 3,000 miles on it and still be sold as new. He added that a salesperson would have told us that. Nope. So no car to see, and nothing to negotiate. Highly unethical and completely incompetent as far as my dealings with them. Cost me money and time to take out a loan (at my bank) on a vehicle they could never sell, but didn't bother to tell me that unti dealings with them. Cost me money and time to take out a loan (at my bank) on a vehicle they could never sell, but didn't bother to tell me that until all the paperwork was done on my end. And we spoke for 4 days! And I am sure I will still be charged bank fees (from my bank) for them doing the paperwork for this non existent sale. And the vehicles that can't be sold (recalls, from 2 months ago) are still on their website and lot. Figure that one out! Buyer's Beware!! It's amateur hour at best at this dealership. More
