Was not told about lack of spare tire in vehicle trunk. Had to find that out a week later when I checked on it. Never owned a car without a spare and it's not comforting. Was willing to bring the vehicle back within a week with only 100 miles on it and scratch the deal, due to other quality issues only noticed upon ownership but was not given the opportunity. Would not own or recommend a Hyundai again, nor recommend this dealership. More
The initial sales visit went very well. I was not overly pressured to purchase a car, was given a good price, and good information. I have only had some minor issues (e.g. sending the second key fob, clarifying loan information, etc), but find it nearly impossible to get someone to help me. I will call multiple times without getting a hold of anyone. Nobody returns my calls. The folks I find don't want to help. I have eventually solved most issues by going to a different dealer, but it should never have come to that. I've still got one issue that I'm waiting on Dean Team for help. I've got my fingers crossed that I'll reach someone some day. More
As an internet buyer it can be difficult to determine which dealerships truly care about their clients and which dealership have strictly the interest of a car sale in mind. I purchased a used 2005 BMW 3 which dealerships truly care about their clients and which dealership have strictly the interest of a car sale in mind. I purchased a used 2005 BMW 330 xi online based on photos and the sales representatives description. They worked with me a bit on my budget and they also assisted in making sure I could get the vehicle relatively quickly by shipping it from Ballwin MO to Centennial CO. The most important part of the entire process was that they stood behind the sale after the transaction. They followed up to make sure the vehicle was what I expected and worked with me to make sure all of my expectations were met. Management as well as the sales representative took the steps to insure a completely positive experience. Would I recommend the dealership. Yes I would. Would I recommend Charlie Clarke. I searched on the internet many dealerships and put request for pricing. Adam got back to me very quickly and I went in to look around. I really liked Adam and decided that I was going to buy the car request for pricing. Adam got back to me very quickly and I went in to look around. I really liked Adam and decided that I was going to buy the car from Dean Team. After a few weeks of deciding on the car I went to go sign the paper work. Through the process I was told that since the market is so competitive the pricing is Invoice - Minus customer hold back. He should me multiple invoices and it was the same for them all. We looked at Sonata's, and Elantra's. Every time, being shown the invoice and customer hold back to agree on a price. We agreed on a price that I was very happy with for the basic car. When my wife and I went in to sign the paperwork we looked at the limited on more time and I was convinced to get the limited which had leather, navigation and a back up camera. I asked Adam to tell me the difference in payments between the two since we were just about to sign the papers on the original car. Here is where I got taken advantage of. I would of thought since the entire process we talked invoice minus hold back when adam gave me the two prices the base price would of been determined the same way. I trusted him I was getting the same deal. We signed the paperwork. It was after they closed and I had already been 3 hours. My car wasn't ready so they gave me a loaner car. I went home and thought something wasn't right. I emailed with Adam asking if I got the same deal I was getting on the old car. I HAVE a strand of emails saying yes I got the same deal and actually $500 more. I went in to pick up my car and asked If I could see the invoice for my car I bought and saw that I was charged the close to the MSRP and no where near the invoice minus hold back. It was about $1500 difference. I was completely lied to and mislead to close the deal. For one month after I sent dozens of emails to Adam and the General Manager (Tom) to get answers and got no where. It took days sometimes to get back to me and when he did he kept saying he would look at the deal. I finally went in to talk to Tom in person and after I met with Adam and Tim, I was finally able to see Tom. I walked out with no resolution. The next day he offers to give me $500 back. At this point I believed he had reviewed the deal but when I agree to receive $600 back (as of now) I told him the entire story and sent him many emails stating what his sales person told me. He said he would pull the deal and get back to me. That meant Adam lied and never discussed the deal with Tom or he wouldn't of needed to pull the deal. After not hearing back for 4 days and two emails as reminders I was told they felt everything was handled properly. I was lied to, misled and want to let others know not to trust them. More
Overall it was a great experience. Everybody was really friendly. Ben was great very knowledgeable was more concerned with me being happy with the car I was getting ready to purchase. Mark was very helpful. I am a subprime loan customer and he went out of his way to find me the car i wanted at the price i could afford. They even let me keep the car to see if I really wanted it. I brought my 17-year old son to purchase a safe, replacement vehicle after he his car was totaled when another driver hit him almost head on. Darryl didn't just try to stick me with something he wanted to get rid of; I left there content. Also very considerate! I was having a little trouble with my knees that day and he tried to spare me some wanted to get rid of; I left there content. Also very considerate! I was having a little trouble with my knees that day and he tried to spare me some walking and even helped me up a hill while we were walking, very personable. He showed enthusiasm about the car and stressed that he would be glad to help me with anything and made me feel comfortable to call and ask any questions I have; he called me less than 2 days after selling me the car to let me know he would be glad to help me with anything. Also, he kind of calmed any fears: I've never leased a car before and I had a lot of questions because I didn't want to end up in a financial bind. More
