SCAMMERS! On May, 2024 I took my 2021 Nissan Ultima to get checked out for weird noise that was coming from the engine area as well as when AC was turned on On May, 2024 I took my 2021 Nissan Ultima to get checked out for weird noise that was coming from the engine area as well as when AC was turned on vehicle was taken back to the repair shop while I was waiting after five hours I was told that a’ Bearing Strut’ was replaced. This part cost way more than what I found out online even if the dealership wanted it to charge a little bit more that’s understandable. however, twice as much I don’t think so! This was the not the craziest part. Let me tell you…… The WTH! part was the ‘labor’ amount that was charged….. over $1,000! Yes, over $1K for labor to replace a part that takes less than 2 hours to do. This is based on the research I did, including discussion with a licensed mechanic. Even though the bill goes through my extended warranty company, it is still outrageous! I will be contacting the warranty company to discuss this fee. Thank God! I only had to pay the $100 deductible. I do understand mechanics can charge higher rates than others. However, I believe this is scamming people or insurance companies. $250 per hour? Note. This was all that was done. Nothing else, that would justify over $1,000 in labor work. Also, this was after I was told a couple months prior that the noise was “normal” I have only had this vehicle for less than 6 months when this noises stated, oh and I bought it from DeaconJones as well. Very Short With you & Gives you the run around I purchased a car from Deacon Jones Nissian back in 2012. I had the car for 1.5 yrs. I then decided to trade up but traded to a 2014 Toyota. Its been I purchased a car from Deacon Jones Nissian back in 2012. I had the car for 1.5 yrs. I then decided to trade up but traded to a 2014 Toyota. Its been 5 weeks since I can in to cancel GAP insurance & I called to inquire. Donna is very RUDE & Short with ppl. I KNOW another person that went there last week to do the exact SAME thing & there check was cut the SAME day. She told me she only cuts checks on Friday. I don't understand the problem is & why its taken so long. I was very pleased with my vehicle I purchased from there & pleased with the sale staff. But I assure you I will not be returning to Deacon Jones Nissian ever again if I plan to trade or buy a vehicle. More
