No customer loyalty I was once a loyal customer of DeNooyer Chevrolet but it has been a number of years since I have purchased a vehicle there. I consider myself to be I was once a loyal customer of DeNooyer Chevrolet but it has been a number of years since I have purchased a vehicle there. I consider myself to be a no nonsense buyer. I know the dealer has to make some money, but I also want to pay a reasonable price. I purchased two loaded Silverado's from DeNooyer and had no issue whatsoever with working out a good price, and a good trade. I also had all of my service done at DeNooyer. Things changed when I decided I liked the appeal of the Chevy Avalanche. As I had always done in the past, I knew what a reasonable trade and reasonable price would be. Despite being more than fair, I was offered well below the trade value (not book value) for my truck. Even worse, there was no negotiation on a new Avalanche. I was told that if I don't purchase the Avalanche, somebody else will. Who knows, maybe Avalanche's were hot sellers. Still, having purchased two other Silverado's you would expect some customer loyalty. I left there and on a whim, decided to stop by DePaula Chevrolet. In a matter of minutes, I was given the exact price I was seeking for my trade and what I was willing to pay for a comparable Avalanche. I have never been back to DeNooyer and I have since purchased at least six other vehicles from DePaula. The irony in all of it was that I did get a call days later about working out a deal on that Avalanche. I told them that it was too late and I got the deal I wanted at DePaula. I don't necessarily blame the sales person. I blame the sales managers who saw no value in having me as a repeat customer. More
