After having my engine die (covered under warranty), my vehicle was taken to Mazda of Clear Lake on May 22nd. After being told my vehicle would be ready on the 10th or 11th, they kept pushing the date back vehicle was taken to Mazda of Clear Lake on May 22nd. After being told my vehicle would be ready on the 10th or 11th, they kept pushing the date back. The 13th or 14th. On the 17th. Finally, on the 19th, they told me they 'by chance' found a problem with a cooling fan. Not having a satisfactory answer as to why this was important, or if it was covered under my warranty, I decided to call Mazda to express my concerns about the length of time it was taking, as well as the strangeness of the man handeling my case. They said it wasn't covered, but it's strange this is taking so long and they would call Mazda of Clear Lake for me. I also decided to have my boyfriend call to get more information about the car (I don't claim to understand cars at all). He called, left a message, and received a call back from the man handeling my car- who BERATED him for my 'badmouthing' him to Mazda. Now, if he had a PROBLEM with what I said, he should have spoken to ME rather than my boyfriend. However, my nightmare doesn't end there. I spoke to the service manager and he 'counseled' the young man in question, and took some money off the service charge. Fine. Then he calls me a few days later and said they broke my radiator. Don't worry, I was told, we broke it, so it will be of no cost to you. Imagine my surprise this morning when I FINALLY went to pick up my car (The 26th of JUNE), to find that I was charged for the fan AND the radiator. Not labor, but the parts. I didn't say anything to the service manager, just wanting to LEAVE this place!! Waiting on a call back from the GM........ More
First things first, buying a car is always an annoying process, but at Mazda of Clear Lake I was given the run around so many times. I was told I would be contacted the day after visiting this dealership process, but at Mazda of Clear Lake I was given the run around so many times. I was told I would be contacted the day after visiting this dealership by 1 pm with the offer they could extend on my previous car. 3:00 pm rolls around and no call, I call to check up and they say they are almost done, so I go to the dealership, only to find this was not the case. I waited almost 5 hours for them to finish everything that was supposedly already finished, keep in my the ac was broken so no cool air and this was in late May. After all the paperwork was complete and I had accepted the offer made on my previous car, an offer was accepted on the new car I was too buy, and the paperwork drawn, I sit down to sign. Not only when I sit down to sign do I realize the price I was given on the new car was almost $4,000 more than what I was told, I was also supposed to be getting a check back for almost $6,000.00 after putting $5,500 down on the new one. My previous car was paid off, no lien against it, so a check should have been cut then, however it was not. While going through the paperwork I read that no cash was owed to me, so where did my check for $6,000 go? Barton, the financial advisor had no idea... nor did anyone else who worked there. My paperwork was going to be mailed to me, however two weeks passed and no paperwork, I drive to the dealership and demand my paperwork, only to get a copy. Low and behold two days later I get my real copy of my paperwork. Still no check, after many times of bickering with the Manager, my check is finally drawn ( why couldn't this be done to begin with) he tells me I had a lien on my old car, when in fact I never did. Now on to service, I was told to call ahead to make oil change appointments, so I have done this 4 times now, every time I call, even weeks in advance, they tell me oh were booked solid. Now I know service centers are not booked solid for two weeks in advance... So I just show up, what do you know they have room for me... yet make me wait for almost 2 hours, I ask about the wait and they tell me because I made no appointment, how can I make an appointment when you say you're always booked? Of course they tell me this is never the case, complete garbage and lies. This last time I go to get an oil change, they will not help me and tell me to make an appointment, however I told them this story and they deny this ever happening. Basically, I would never recommended this dealership to anyone, they treat you like garbage and try to push things on you that are not needed just to get sales. Stay away!!! More

Worst oil change I have experienced. Arrived at around 2:10 pm and got my car 4:45 pm that's almost 1 1/2 hours wait. And to make matter worst, they want to charged me $60 even If I told them that I just 2:10 pm and got my car 4:45 pm that's almost 1 1/2 hours wait. And to make matter worst, they want to charged me $60 even If I told them that I just need the regular oil change which is the $34.99. Good thing I let the service guy wrote it for me before I handed him my car key. Do your self a favor avoid this dealership. They would sell you some services you really don't need. More

This is the worst experience with a NEW Car Dealer that I have every in my life experienced. I put my car 2007 - CX-7 in the service dept of the dealer in which I purchased it do to the convience of the loa have every in my life experienced. I put my car 2007 - CX-7 in the service dept of the dealer in which I purchased it do to the convience of the loaner car and you would think the dealer should be able to detect the problem. YEA How about $4500 - $9000 worth of work needed. They were ready to replace the motor due to not being able to detect the problem. Unfortunatly my $820 car note was not worth paying this amount to repair so the left me with NOTHING after paying $40,000 over the last 4 yrs. ON TIME PYMTS. They left me walking. This is the worst sevice dept to ever deal with. They don't have a clue as to what they are doing. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALER FOR A CAR!!!After having this car for 4 yrs. they blamed the problem on mls. on the vehicle which in fact were 107,000 mls. This should not be the problem to have to replace the engine motor. The car drove fine out there, it only had a popping noise in the engine. More
