My boyfriend and I went into the dealership Monday looking to purchase the Mazda 2. Jesse was very quick to help us get seated for a test drive. He was very personable and easy to talk to. Today we went in and he wasn't there. :( But we got the pleasure of working with Chris, who was also just as friendly. There was a lot of waiting today, due to trying to get everything squared away with financing. He came to communicate every 5 minutes so we knew what we were waiting on. After everything said and done we drove off the lot at 9:20 with our new car. They close at 9, and with out any complaints he stayed late for us. He took care of us and made sure we left happy. He also gave me a few pointers for learning to drive manual. More
Rayan Carter is a well groomed young man with a friendly smile and out going personality. Ryan was very helpful to me in finding the right car for me, even tho the color choice was my second he spent time in trying to locate the one I wanted. The personnel there were friendly and helpful to each other while not being brash or pushy in getting you to buy a car from them. The over all experience to me was wonderful for a single female who was buying the car. Without any hesatation recomend Clear Lake Mazda to any one on their freindleness, courtesy,cleanlyness of the showroom as well as the sourrounding areas. More
Chris was very patient when we went looking at cars. He took the time to explain and show us a couple different cars. He was friendly and informative, stayed late to let us test drive a couple. When we returned a few days later, at 0900 knowing exactly what car we wanted, it was a bit frustrating. We sat at the desk by ourselves most of the time, not knowing what the heck was going on behind the scenes. Different people would come up to us asking if we wanted to add on things to our purchase. Only at the very end of the deal, over 3 hours later, did we finally meet the finance manager, Tim, and he already had all of our paperwork ready to sign. He hadn't even talked to us prior, to ask if we wanted certain insurances, etc. I hope he sticks to his word and cancels what we don't want. I know buying a car isn't really a simple process, but If I hadn't really wanted that one specific used car, we probably would have walked out of there after a couple of hours. I don't know, maybe they need more than one person who can finalize a purchase. Other than the long uninformed wait, the experience was decent. I really really hope their followup is good, mainly the service department. I would probably recommend this dealership. Everyone was friendly. Just be prepared to wait a while. And look at your paperwork very carefully. Thanks again Chris for your patience, and helpfulness. More

We called around for the best deal for a Mazda CX9 for my daughter & son-in-law. Clear lake Mazda underbid everyone...Wish we had never called them!! We Walked out of that clear lake mazda dealership so fast it made their head spin!!! The next morning I called Hector and Delroy back at Russell & Smith and they quoted the price again...drive out and after we explained what happened at the other dealership they promised they don't do that ! To our surprise...They Were Very Honest, kind and respectful! As everyone knows these are attributes not normally found at a car dealership! Thanks again to all involved at Russell & Smith Mazda...... We will be back to see you in the future!!!! You reminded us there are some sales managers that keep their word !! Thanks again :-) More
Sticker said it came with power locks and cruise control, got home realized it didnt have either. I have called several times only to be pawned off to differesnt managers. Chris Danzell is an excellent salesman. We didn't feel any pressure when purchasing our new mazda. He was prompt in finding us the model we were interested in. He spent alot of time explaining all of the any pressure when purchasing our new mazda. He was prompt in finding us the model we were interested in. He actually opened up the owner's manual and went through most of it as well as highlighting a few key pages that he thought we would be interested in. He negotiated everything with the sales manager on our behalf. Chris showed my wife how to use the bluetooth paring for the mazda and her cell phone. He set up our favorite radio stations in the car. He checked on our financing many times too make sure we weren't waiting for nothing. While we were waiting for the sales managers and financing to be finalized, Chris had our car washed and spent a lot of time chit chatting with us. He always gave us an estimate on how much longer the process should take. He smiled alot and gave us eye contact which helped make the car buying experience a lot easier. The quality of work and friendliness we experienced form him is comparable to the quality we get at our bmw dealership for our other car. He asked us what our expectations were, and gave us the car we wanted and around the price range we were looking for. We had been to several dealerships in Houston where we live. We were satisfied with the information, price, and general manner from him. We will definitely call him again when we want to replace our other vehicle. Mazda of Clearlake: We would rate a 4 out of 5. Some of the advertising details could be listed a little clearer, I wish we had received Business cards from the financing and sales manager. We only saw the sales manager once. The finance manager did explain in detail all of the optional finance benefits and expedited our credit approval. It would have been nice to have gotten an envelope for our signed documents. Unfortunately, The only one who thanked us for purchasing the vehicle was Chris. More

They came up with what I was searching for and got the vehicle down from Dallas so I could be sure it was the one I wanted before I committed to it. From the time I walked into the dealership until I drove off in my "new" car, I was treated with respect and friendliness. I had a difficult situation because of a bankruptcy, and the staff went above and off in my "new" car, I was treated with respect and friendliness.
