So far: an EXCELLENT experience! To us, purchasing a NEW vehicle is a stressful event. Since I was fourteen years old, I have owned a Ford and will continue to do so as long as To us, purchasing a NEW vehicle is a stressful event. Since I was fourteen years old, I have owned a Ford and will continue to do so as long as the quality that I've experienced with all of my Fords remains. Our last purchase was a 2003 F-250 Super Duty diesel that we use for farm work and pulling a flatbed trailer, a 2-horse trailer gooseneck, and a 3-horse trailer gooseneck w/living quarters. We've used it to travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada. It has been a reliable vehicle w/o any problems. Recently we purchased our 2017 F-350 Super Duty diesel. I did research on my wife's computer to get information on options and price. After weeks of research, my wife and I went to the De Long Ford dealership and spoke with Jon. We discussed features of the F-350: the aluminum body, the 6.7 diesel engine, the DEF Diesel exhaust fluid system, and other options (unfamiliar to me) that are available on the 2017 truck. Jon is very knowledgeable of the workings of the new vehicle and was able answer my questions to my satisfaction. He arranged for us to take a trial drive in one of the new 2017 Super Duty gas and diesel trucks. What great vehicles! After our test drive, we sat down with Jon to go over my list of options for my new truck. The price Jon quoted was comparable with my research. (Plus he further explained each option I had selected and made helpful suggestions.) Because my wife and I had contemplated this purchase for over two years, we were ready to make the commitment. Jon researched and found several incentives and rebates for us that most certainly helped with the price/payments. We took possession of our new 2017 F-350 Diesel Pickup truck on April 15th! The truck was properly prepped and all of the paperwork was in order and ready to go. During the entire process, Jon was courteous and helpful without giving any pressure at all (for which we are so thankful). We were SO happy as we left the dealership and drove home!!! We took the truck home and did not drive it until it had mud flaps installed. An appointment was made for Ziebart undercoating. Sadly, on the way to Ziebart, on the FIRST time we took the truck out, someone making a left hand turn ran into and under our new truck behind the driver's side rear wheel crunching and tearing the quarter panel!!! We were SICK... We drove our new truck home, parked it in the garage, completed all of the police reports, and contacted our insurance agent. He suggested that we talk to Jon about what to do for the repairs. Jon responded immediately and I took the truck back to the dealership for him to evaluate the damage. (I think he was as sick as I was...) Jon recommended Tech-Ni-Kolor AutoCrafters, Inc. to make the repairs as they are familiar with the new aluminum body technology. I then took the truck to Tech-Ni- Kolor AutoCrafters, Inc., and spoke with Larry Seabert. He gave a written estimate of the repairs to fix the damage. Next I contacted the insurance company of the party who hit me and gave them the information and estimate. At the present time, I am waiting for the other party's insurance company to contact me. Throughout this whole transaction and the following ordeal, Jon has been invaluable. By all means we will and already have recommended Jon and De Long Ford to our friends and others.
