My name is Jo Haage. I have only been to a car dealership only once in my life to purchase a car. When my previous vehicle was starting to nickel and dime me, I knew it was time to purchase another vehicle. I was nervous about venturing out and doing that. Well, I happened to hear about a Grand Prix that was traded in at DeLong Ford in Dwight on Wednesday, July 5. The salesperson that handled the trade in (and sold a new truck to the owner of the Grand Prix) was Brenda Lawless. I called over there the minute I heard about it. Guess what!!! Brenda answered the phone. She was so friendly and down-to-earth. After talking for a few minutes, we even discussed what we had done for the 4th of July!! She even gave me a marinade recipe for steaks. I felt like I was talking to a life long friend. It was a Friday, and she said the car wasn't in the system yet, but she would call me on Wednesday to set up a time where I could go look at the Grand Prix. I just knew she would. Wednesday rolled around and Brenda called me. I was so excited!! Even though a couple other customers had stopped in and wanted to purchase the Grand Prix, she had put a hold on it. She had asked if I could drive over that day, but I couldn't. She was off on Thursday, so we set up and appointment to meet at 8:00 A.M. on Friday. I liked her the minute I met her. She was so pleasant and friendly (love her sense of humor :-) She showed me the car, and I loved it! She got the keys and I took it for a ride. I told her right away "I want this car!" She said "Great!" She took care of all the paper work, and explained everything thoroughly. We set up an appointment for 1:00, Saturday, to pick up the car! My husband and I drove over with the check and we were in and out of there in no time. However, before I left the DeLong parking lot, Brenda sat in the car with me and explained all the controls to me. I wouldn't have known what half of them were for. She answered all my questions, and made sure I knew everything about my car :-) My husband told her that when it came time for him to get another truck, he was going to go to her. I feel that she was not just a sales person that sold me a car, I feel that I gained a friend!! I would recommend Brenda Lawless to anyone looking for a vehicle (used or new). Thank you Brenda!!!
