We arrived @9am and were not bombarded with salesman, just a friendly gretting by our Saleman Mike Jones...we told him that we were in search of a first vehicle for our daughter and what our price range is and he walked us over to a few used vehicles and made a few recommendations and let us do the rest....We ended up with the 07 Ford Focus which he had sent over to detail and had us in and our with 2 years of free maintenance and a full take of gas in less than 2 hours! If this were the only dealer on earth I would walk. I gave one star because there is no negative rating. They are the definition of the vile. They lie. My daughter went there to buy a new Jeep Wrangler. I gave one star because there is no negative rating. They are the definition of the vile. They lie. My daughter went there to buy a new Jeep Wrangler. She wanted a hard top and was told they did not have one, but they could make one out of a soft top. She agreed. When it was picked up the accessories on the hard top they had installed did not work. When asked, she was told it would be an additional $800 to install the wiring harness to make them work. I called and asked to speak to the owner and was told he was in a meeting and would call me back shortly. I waited all day and heard nothing so I called back and was told he had not been in all day. I hate being lied to so I called Jeep and complained about the hard-top accessories not working. After I complained to Jeep about the bait and switch tactic to get more money the owner went ballistic. There is a woman in charge of sales, I think her name is Jo. She is rude and vicious. Then the threats started and we could not get the same story out of any two people that work there. One person kept calling my daughter demanding she return the vehicle because the owner was upset that I had called Jeep and complained so he no longer wanted to sell her the Jeep. When she would call to ask, what was going on the person she spoke with would tell her not to worry that the deal was going to be approved and she was going to get the Jeep. Then she would get another round of rude threatening calls demanding the return of the Jeep and she would call to ask about it and would be told again that that was not the case and she was approved. Finally, the dealership called and demanded to know the location of the Jeep so they could send a tow truck for it because she had not returned it. This time she was told they were not able to secure a loan and they wanted it back now or else. She returned it that night and was promised in writing that she would be refunded the full amount of the down payment she had made the next day. They only returned part of the down payment stating she was being charged for the miles she had driven the jeep. At no time during this nightmare ordeal was my daughter provided copies of any of the papers she signed so we could even check to see what she had agreed to. And the day after the jeep was returned she received a letter from one of the finance companies the dealer had applied to stating the loan had been approved. So, if you want to be lied to, treated horribly. threatened, taken advantage of and want your overall experience buying, or not buying, an automobile to be the worst it can possibly be then I highly recommend this dealership. Otherwise I would recommend you spend your money anywhere else than Hurley. More
