This man is a good catch for Defouw. Now we visited the Defouw finance department, a necessary but not always pleasurable part of the process, Idon't remember the name of the the man we worked with in the finance but he was very pleasant to work with, made the process very pain free and gave us a clear understanding of what we were getting.and what our cost would be for getting it.This is the at least the second vehicle we had purchased from Defouw and although both have been good experiences this was by far the best, Keep up the good work. I picked a vehicle, then changed my mind, changed it back, and they were patient the entire time. Left Empty Handed I called on a Tuesday and inquired about a 2008 F-250. They had just got the truck so they told me they would service the truck that day and would be I called on a Tuesday and inquired about a 2008 F-250. They had just got the truck so they told me they would service the truck that day and would be ready by Wednesday at 10:00 am. I drove 4.5 hours and arrived at 9:45 am to find that the truck just completed its service but no detailing had been done. After test driving, I ask them to fix the wheel alignment. While the technician was working on the alignment he noticed that the catalytic converter was missing. They informed me that they couldn't sell the truck without this part and that they would need to install one. In my opinion, this should have been addressed at servicing and saved me a trip. We continued with negotiations and I was still interested in purchasing the truck. The sales manager, Matt, approached me and said he isn't going to sell me the truck because he didn't have enough money in it to fix it. I was furious that he didn't even offer to meet in the middle. It was as simple as that. Obviously they don't care about their customers or their customers time! More
Stood behind their car when they didn't have to I purchased a used bmw 328i from defouw in as-is condition with no warranty. A few days after purchased I noticed a slight high pitched noise. I took it to a local shop and they diagnosed it as a bad differential. I was very upset because it was going to be an expensive repair. I called Defouw to see if they could do anything. They sent a driver to my home with a loaner vehicle, took mine in and checked it out, all free of charge. They agreed the differential was starting to fail. They offered a new diff with $1,000 discount or offered to put in a used one free of charge. Because this is not a common problem with bmws, I chose the used diff and it has been successful so far and will probably last the life of the car. Defouw went out of their way to make this right for me even though I did not have a warranty, so I would highly recommend them! More
Worth the trip even if you are outside the Lafayette Area We have purchased, leased, and traded vehicles from Matt Martin and Ben Mulllikin at DeFouw over the last 10 years. They have helped us find cars for We have purchased, leased, and traded vehicles from Matt Martin and Ben Mulllikin at DeFouw over the last 10 years. They have helped us find cars for our children, for a parent, for our business, along with a few family vehicles. This makes little sense in the abstract because DeFouw is not the closest BMW dealership to us (they are in Lafayette, we are in Indianapolis), and because we have never been particularly brand loyal and certainly not dealership loyal. We have grown to count on DeFouw and they have never broken that trust. In the world of car buying, which can seem both hyper-technical and just generally confusing, it is hard to tell one dealer from the next. Everyone will match prices these days. Thank the Lord. But what matters at the end of the day is having good people like Martin and Mulllikin in your corner and a dealership that will take care of any problem you have with no hassles, professionalism, and genuine concern when the going gets tough (for as long as you have the car). It matters that the sales people tell you the truth and demonstrate it. That's been my experience with the people at DeFouw. It is the only reason we keep coming back -- much to my own surprise -- every time. A special note about Matt Martin: he is now the sales manager at DeFouw and he does a 5 star job in that position. He's been there for at least 10 years. Knows BMWs and knows what he's doing. More

At the GM dealer we couldn't get anyone to even talk to us, but Pam met us at the front door of DeFouw Chevy and everything from there went extremely smooth. I have purchased my last 2 personal vehicles and last 2 work vehicles from DeFouw and I fully intend to continue that trend with Pam as my salesperson. More
