Great dealership for its sales and service and with the overall way they operate and treat its customers. I have a 5 year and 4 month old 2019 Toyota Tacoma with only 48,000 miles that I purchased from Day overall way they operate and treat its customers. I have a 5 year and 4 month old 2019 Toyota Tacoma with only 48,000 miles that I purchased from Daytona Toyota. About 2 weeks ago my engine light came on and after a diagnostic test was completed it was showing a P11EC-00 and also a P1605-00 code. These codes represent a Cylinder 1 air fuel ratio imbalance, and engine rough idling. I was informed by one of the service managers a few days later that Toyota would only cover the parts and I would be liable for any labor. Which would be between $4,000 and $5,000. I did receive some help from the service manager Aaron Garcia and he was able to lower the price for labor to roughly $4,120. I've used Daytona Toyota for all of my service from the day this vehicle was purchased. So, without saying I was beyond words that I should have to pay any labor charges at all. It was then that I reached out to the GM Gib Dannehower and explained the situation. A day later he contacted me and assured me he was looking into it and was going to reach out to his REP and see what could be done. The next day my old salesperson DJ Garry contacted me and said Toyota was going to cover the charges with the exception of a few hundred dollars and Daytona Toyota would take care of the rest. That meant I would have to pay nothing! If I had not reached out to Gib and DJ I would have been out over $4,100. Daytona Toyota stood by their customer and helped me when I thought the worst. I am so grateful to GM Gib Dannehower for standing up for his customers and making sure that I did not have to pay one penny. On top of all this they even gave me a 2024 Tacoma loaner at not cost to me for almost ten days. Thank you Gib and Dj and Daytona Toyota for saving my thousands of dollars in labor costs. Daytona Toyota has friendly staff and it's not so much that they aren't good at what they do. But we had an appointment scheduled at 7:00 a.m. a.m., first appointment available. We got there at about 6:40 that they aren't good at what they do. But we had an appointment scheduled at 7:00 a.m. a.m., first appointment available. We got there at about 6:40 a.m. unfortunately we were told that there was a discrepancy and they had us on a 7:30 appointment but that was not the case when we initially scheduled it. They told us about an hour for the oil change to be done. There were people without appointments that went before us and it eventually took us almost 2 and 1/2 hours before the car was brought in and taken care of. I believe that if you have an appointment for a certain time any walk-ins should have to wait till after that appointment no matter what time they get there, or our car should be taken back at the very next opening after our scheduled appointment time. It makes me believe that just because we have the free oil changes that they try to get other people ahead of us because they're not making any money off our needs, specifically the oil change. I just think they need to get there appointment people in and out as they take the time to call and schedule an appointment a weak in advance and they should do their best to get the appointment customers taking care of first as we make appointments because we also have other errands and plans and appointments for days that could include the appointment we have for the oil change. And update should be given more frequently as we just sit there unable to speak to anybody after our car is already been there for an hour and a half while seeing other people who have came after us leave before us. Thank you if you have an explanation please elaborate because from what I understand typically appointments are scheduled so they take precedence over anybody that walks in, whether they walk in 5 minutes before our 7:00 appointment or they walk in 10 minutes after. I believe some companies will put us on the back burner just because when we bought our car we were gifted free oil changes for life. Do better More
