My sales rep was great. The management and dealership were not. I sent out bids to several different dealerships to provide best pricing on like 4 Runners. I chose the 4 Runner at this dealsership and ac were not. I sent out bids to several different dealerships to provide best pricing on like 4 Runners. I chose the 4 Runner at this dealsership and actually canceled a deposit I put down on another vehicle. After agreeing upon a total OTD price, I was told that they forgot to add in the amount I owed on my trade ($2,000). This was their mistake and they wouldn’t budge on pricing or increasing the value of my trade, which they got for a really low trade. I drove an hour and a half and had my young daughter with me only to find out upon arrival that the “final” price of the vehicle did not include the certification fee. This was misleading and not how any of the other dealerships worked. This was the difference in the agreed upon price, not what I owed on my trade. This is why used car salesman get a bad rap. I am very sorry that I didn’t end up going with one of the other dealerships that were fair and transparent in the process. If it wasn’t for me canceling my other deposit, having my daughter with me and honestly not having another free weekend in the near future to figure this out I would have walked away from this dealership and Toyota. I traded in a 2015 Toyota Highlander and I question why I was loyal to Toyota because I don’t feel like I was treated with respect at all. My boyfriend was with me and was also in the market for either a 4 Runner or Land Cruiser and has officially changed his course after this experience. I hope this review doesn’t penalize Paul Ponte, because he was great and honestly understood my frustrations but his hands were tied by the used car Manager, Jimmy. He could use some customer service training. I’m going to file a complaint with autotrader and the BBB against this dealership for false advertisement and not honoring their advertised price. BTW, I paid the advertised price. I didn’t negotiate down and they still added on the $1,000 fee. They were supposed to give me $17k for my trade but upon arrival it was only $16k. I repeatedly asked for numbers so I could do the math myself to figure out how much I needed to put down. I wasn’t given clear numbers until I arrived. Also, they messed up my financing and i ending up financing more than I wanted to. I was just so ready for the whole thing to be over I just left with the mistake. But now my payment is more than I was hoping. This wasted a whole Sunday for me, my daughter, her dad and Paul (who came in on his day off). I can’t get that time back. More
