Owned a V8 truck & was anxious to not only get the payments down but the gas mileage up. Going into the Daytona Toyota dealership, I had many reservations about completing a deal. With the help of Mon payments down but the gas mileage up. Going into the Daytona Toyota dealership, I had many reservations about completing a deal. With the help of Monica Lewis I was signing the papers for my Toyota Rav4 within the hour. To date I am very pleased with the Rav4. already taking it on an extended trip to Ga. Thanks for the positive experience. Paul E. Hartman More
I had done my online research, and narrowed my search to 2 cars at Daytona Toyota, and 2 cars at another dealer. I made an appointment with Monica, and then showed up about 6 hours early. Monica was fine 2 cars at Daytona Toyota, and 2 cars at another dealer. I made an appointment with Monica, and then showed up about 6 hours early. Monica was fine with that, and very nice, genuinely so. She was not overbearing or pushy, and she spoke to me in detail about the vehicles I considered. She explained the technical details of the Prius and how to work all the gadgets and goodies that my old car didn't have. It was actually fun, buying a car through Daytona Toyota with Monica helping. Normally, I'd rather have a root canal. I got a decent deal on the Prius, it was certainly less than other dealers were advertising. But what has sealed the deal for this being a great experience is that 4 days after purchase I had a minor problem with a switch and a bit of window molding. Monica got me into the shop quickly, and the repairs made, no questions asked. I did not purchase the extended warranty, and I really appreciated their readiness to make sure I am happy with my purchase. More
Craig was quite helpful on the phone and in person. He had the truck ready for my inspection and handled all the paperwork quickly. I will recommend this dealership to friends and family. had the truck ready for my inspection and handled all the paperwork quickly. I will recommend this dealership to friends and family. More
I helped a friend buy a new 4 Runner here 9 years ago; using the internet then I figured out what I thought he should pay, and we visited all the Toyota dealerships in the Orlando area and were sent away- using the internet then I figured out what I thought he should pay, and we visited all the Toyota dealerships in the Orlando area and were sent away--they were looking for a big profit deal. We made it clear up front that he'd be happy to buy the car if they could find it at any dealer and have it shipped in at his price. We got the deal he wanted after some negotiation at Daytona Toyota, they got the truck from a dealer in south Florida in two days, and he still has the truck. Fast forward to two days ago: I wanted a new 2012 Tundra pickup with the 5.7 liter V8 and a crew cab; options were unimportant otherwise. I figured out what the truck should cost, taking into account the available dealer holdbacks (money Toyota pays the dealer after the sale to move certain models at certain times). I got the deal I wanted on a great truck. If you know what you should pay, this dealer twice now has been very willing to accept a minimal profit deal to make a sale. Not all dealers are, and both times I left this dealer feeling that they were grateful for the business. Worth the drive from Orlando; easier yet if you're already in Daytona! More
As it turns out, I did not buy my new 2012 Toyota Prius from Dennis Santangelo or Daytona Toyota Scion, but that had nothing to do with the dealership or Dennis. I was looking for a particular make, model, from Dennis Santangelo or Daytona Toyota Scion, but that had nothing to do with the dealership or Dennis. I was looking for a particular make, model, year and color, and Dennis was fantastic to deal with via email and over the phone. The distance between the dealership in Daytona Beach and my home and workplace in downtown Orlando ultimately led to me buying my car in Orlando, but having dealt with a half-dozen dealerships in the process of getting my Prius, I have to give Dennis and his employer the very highest marks for helpfulness and low-pressure sales. I'm also intrigued by the dealership's lifetime warranty, something I hadn't expected to encounter and didn't have time to research this time around. Now that I have returned to owning Toyotas after two decades with other makes, I will definitely start with Daytona Toyota when I go to replace my other car in two or three years -- even if it is an hour's drive away. I dealt with the internet sales dept of 13 S Fla Toyota dealers and Craig at Daytona Toyota was the most open and honest from the beginning. He gave me the best price, was the most communicative, and was overall a very personable guy. It took <1 hour to take delivery of the car once we arrived at a mutually agreeable number over email. Basically this was the same old car dealer game of promise big verbally and back-pedal when the rubber meets the road. Nothing new here, so I was prepared. I was taken aback however by the mind-numb promise big verbally and back-pedal when the rubber meets the road. Nothing new here, so I was prepared. I was taken aback however by the mind-numbing incompetence the dealership displayed in trying to honor the promises they made to get me to commit to the purchase. This incredibly frustrating 3-week process took an undue amount of time from my workday as I again and again the specs of my desired vehicle. Once the process seemed at its close and I went to pick up my brand new vehicle, I discovered two large scuffs on the front bumper in addition to several other inaccuracies from my order. Here's where the fun really started. Though the "closer" who came to the salesperson's rescue in the opening negotiations was aggressive and abrasive, he was a charmer compared to Gib, who got involved once I balked at accepting a brand new vehicle with damage. Gib, it seems, is heir-apparent to the dealership, and fancies himself a formidable salesperson. I can't even imagine what type of customer his condescending approach appeals to, but it triggered a nearly physical revulsion in me. I quite honestly disliked being in the same room as this misogynistic young buck. He actually thought air-brushing the scuffs off the textured bumper would be a fine solution. Heck, just slap some Bondo on that! Nonetheless, the deal was almost at its conclusion, but for the lack of a $200 accessory. Gil took this as an opportunity to get into a, for lack of a better term, pissing contest with me. He dared me to try to go anywhere else for the same deal. After three weeks of tribulation with this dealership, I was more than happy to take the dare, drove to Jax and bought a better truck for less money in less time than it took to drive there. Do yourself a favor and shop in Jax. More
I purchased my last vehicle from Craig and decided that when it was time for a new one I would definately be going back to him. He's an easy-going no bull kind of guy and that is the type of people I like when it was time for a new one I would definately be going back to him. He made it known that should I ever need anything or have any questions to make sure to get intouch with him and everything would be handled. More
